Only that I comment when have something new to say. Also some themes are just not to my taste or not my favourite subject.
What I like to see are some new ideas...

Disclaimer - You really dont have to read all this text,ive been up all night again,and im trying to keep myself awake.

I only like to comment on themes when they really stand out,(as most will have noticed),otherwise you just end up with a thread full of the same comments and a ridiculously high post count after only a couple of months. (its nice when its your own thread tho).

@dL - When you post a new theme,you can be sure i will have seen it within 24 hrs (mostly),if nothing has been said by me,then its just a good theme as usual.

Its a bit of a tricky subject,as i sometimes think of all sorts of things to say (not really to your themes tho),and its hard to say whats good in a theme and whats not,I dont mind at all,criticising themes and helping themers when it has been asked for,but offence is often taken too quickly,and the only ammo i have is my own personal opinions (which count for nothing at the end of the day).

I regularly read comments on "Excellent Highlights" and "Lovely Standby" etc,and think to myself "Whats so special about them????",i also see themes winning the TMC that (for me) dont stand a chance.

It just goes to show,the very nature of what themes are all about = Personality,and no-one is ever the same.

Like i said,this isnt directed at you at all,it was just a great excuse to voice my opinions without upsetting anyone directly,i know you will understand what im saying,question is - Does anyone else?

Hang on i cant really post that last question as it could go very from here, but what the hey,its dL's thread,and im sure he will comment on this.

@Elton - I understand what you mean.

I try to comment on many themes I see but quality themers don't need me to tell them they have created a great theme. The learners get most of my encouragement to give them that little booster to continue creating.

Rest assured if your theme is good, you know I know it but, if your theme is dull and boring I will tell you.

I think from now on I'm gonna do a 5 star marking system on themes I look at and comment on what I think stands out the most on a theme.

I agree with you in principal and in bottom line.
The case is that no one will bother with it, the useless posts, the bad reviews, the bla bla bla, and I have decided to go in "Adonis mode" (say something only when having to say something...)...but will call it "DL stealth mode"...!
I have accumulated over 800 posts in 4 months but if enyone bothers with it, they will see that 80% of them are for a reason (yea... the other 20% is rubbish... ).
I dont leave myself out of this issue either, and blame myself for it aswell, but atleast I have the intellect to see it and stop doing it... (there is really no reason to "compete" about who has the highest post counts!!!).

So to keep this on topic, thanks for your good words about my themes

I didnt say anyone was "competing" (least of all you),i was merely explaining why (i,me,elton) dont always post comments on all the themes i see,after reading your reply to jas ,i too have not posted here for a while,i just wanted to explain why.
