Since I got here at m9 I wanted to learn how to make animated gif's, with vlammetje's points and some usefull links and a loooooot of reading I have about 10 different animation masters in my arsenal!

...still try to figure out how to save the .gif in higher quality ....

dLazaros - i don't think gifs can be saved very high, it's limited somewhat, tru using animation shop pro, it comes bundled with paint shop pro, this will allow to tweak the quality settings for gif files.

I noticed straight away that that 256 colors was bad for an animation of an image!
The fact that it doesnt give any options for saving pis*es me off

I use Psp9 and animation shop 3,you are still limited to 256 colours with any gif but the optimization process may be better than what you are currently using?

Imo,your saved gifs are good quality already so i doubt you will find it any better?

GIFs are limited to that, and there isn't much we can do about it...

My entry for the Week 60 theme challenge: Music notes Animated

You really have built your own style in theming these several weeks.
As I wrote in TMC, I could bet that you will do some violin theme, as a romantic guy and was expecting to see it with great impatience. And you did it excellent - I do like it.
Hope you don't mind my comment about the popup (I would probably put some other pic, or some other colour for border), since everything else is perfect.
Awaiting for your next theme and to see you more often in my thread.

Its been great so far in this community and I have enjoyed every minute of it (I stay online in the background from 08:00 until 22:00... i believe I have become addicted... ).
I have tryed to make my themes better and the 4 challenge cups have given me a great bust (big thanks to everybody for their votes ).

I await with greeeeeat curiosity to see, your always fantastic, theme !

I found a nice tip on manipulating .gif's and make them good quality (I made my music notes with that and have noticed the difference in animation quality)

useful tips dLazaros, but i do think you'll benefit from that tutorial more than anyone else...as you do make some great animations....just like you current theme! it's great

Well the sort version of that tutorial is that you can set the picture still and only allow the animated bits to be distorted in 256 pallette and with no difusion... well ...it makes sense to me...

Very Nice Theme

I was going to reply, but I've been busy with both Java and uploading new themes

I was going to say that I was after a classical music theme and that one was just fantastic. Thanks very much mate

I came to create a new avatar and sig and found some beautifull images that blended and created a theme that I realy like... hope others will too

Why I can`t find "Red dragon" in Gallery??

If you click on my name on the gallery you will see all my uploads and the ones on validation
Red Dragon is still on validation, it needs to be checked by an administrator and then added in the gallery (like all themes).

Hope to get some slow days soon, but I guess that won't be happening any time soon, with my work, my little boy and ofcourse the time I want to spent with my wife...

My problem is the opposite...
My baby girl is 5 months old and I have to be at my shop almost 16 hours a day and am missing her and my wife like crazy

Making s60 Nokia themes is the most demanding imo,i used to love it coz there are so many bad ones about,when you make a good one they are well respected and get huge downloads in the gallery,my s60 themes are much more popular simply coz there are not so many good s60 themers around.
