Hello to everybody,

I have made some themes with all of your help and started getting down the road of animated images and video themes.
I have the following problem/question:
I made 2 themes, hurricane and space. I like it when the desktop is filled with the image on the softbar and the statusbar, it gives a sence of continuity and size.
When my animation goes on the soft of statusbar thats when my problem starts.
I cannot sync the animation!
The background is inserted and the animation starts, the softbar is inserted and the animation starts from the beginning and the same for the status bar.
I cannot insert all 3 images at once so am unable to work around it.
The only way I found is to keep the animation and light effects in going to the status or soft bar and keep the animation completely to the center background image.
Any other suggestions???

Statusbar and softkeys can't be animated anyway, so sorry for the time you spent on it... :-(
Only the main standby image can be animated.

The soft and statusbar CAN be animated!
Thats the whole point!
You make the animation 176X220 and crop the soft and status bar at 176 X16 and 176 X22 and save optimized like the background 176X182!
The problem is feeding them to the theme creator!
There is not a way to pause the animation and make them all 3 start together!
That was the problem I was wondering if could be walked around!
(The same with video themes I created, the video starts in the main screen and status and softbar start in the order I entered them in the creator!).

I didn't think they could be animated, but perhaps you should try ignore the theme creator and instead load the whole thing onto your phone. THEN check if they all start at the same time, and as a matter of fact if the animated bars even work at all.

I did but there is the sync problem!
Imagine this: A ball of light starts at the bottom and goes all the way up to the top,
the sequense is a:softkey b: status c: status bar. sequense is 10 seconds.
Starting the animation on the phone:
a is at start, b is Late as long as it took me to insert the image in the creator lets say 2 seconds, and c is 2 more seconds late, leaving me with an animation on the phone that is out of sync. Yes I can make the animation not apear on the status and soft bar but thats the whole argument.
(I could wait in the theme creator and ender the 2nd and 3d image in sync order but will have to precise to the milisecond!)
Oh... you ment making it without the theme creator will not create start points... clever!!! Will try and post results!

well that's why i said: forget about the theme creator. Make a manual theme if you have to. when loaded into the phone the whole theme loads as one. so all images should animate at the same rate. best advice |i can give you. If that doesn't work than you should perhaps abandon the idea all together.

The quality of the animated gif didnt come to my liking either so will try something different! Thank you.

In theme creator use import all when importing the standy screen, the program should load all images into the theme creator at the same time.

You can animate all the graphics in a theme but only the standby screen will be seen as animated on the phone.

Yes they did.
Here is the softbar and the status bar samples and the out of sync jpeg for you.
Load the stat and soft into a theme and you will see they are animated.
As I searched about it, the v800 has an animated desktop of 176 X220 but splits in 3 because the stat bar needs to always show in some functions and the soft in other functions. Animated gifs are fully supported but limited in resolution.
So we can make the stat and the softbar animated as standalone animations totaly different from the rest and with no sync problem.
