Hey Everyone,
I've been havin trouble with my Motorola E398...

I downloaded the MPEGable X4, and tried to convert an Episode of the Simpsons (the first 15 seconds) and it turned out to be about 100kb.

This was with low quality for video and audio, and I set the output file as:

Dimensions: 170x144
Video: 80kbits
Audio: 32kbits/8000 hz
Encoded: Mp4

The Original Movie was:

Dimensions: 640x480
Video: ?
Audio: 44 ghz
Encoded: AVI

The problem is that When I convert it with Mpegable X4, the file turs out fine, and I can play it on the computer...

But when i transfer it to my phone, it says that the Image is too Big...
I even tried changing 170x144 to 100x74 and tried again..
But still the same problem.. sad.gif

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
All help GREATLY appreciated!!

I guess your Phone can play MP4's? If so, use nero recode to do it, best program ive used to do it, i had a similar prob with x4live, so i got rid of it, the only thing about Nero Recode, is that you have to work out the pixels to crop to utilize the most screen on your phone. See spawns NeroRecode walkthrough to figure it out.

Thats rubbish, half of video files are mp4. Some are larger than the e398 can handle. mp4 is only supported for playback. not for downloading via wap. Try using nokia multi media converter. It works a bloody treat byebye.gif

Adiosettings are wrong - E398 only support AMR
Youve propably also selected mp4 instead of 3gp in X4live
And propably forgot to uncheck displaysize

Follow this guide for 6230 exactly as described - but set resolution to Absolute Size, Qcif 176x144 instead of 128x96 in step 5b of the guide.
