nice one mate, but have in mind these.....

1. u should add a wall here....
2. did u forget these red or it was by choice? (if it was by choice. it isn't that suitable with the whole theme....)
3. the same with this sub-menu element......
4. these highlights remained the default...

5. (it not pointed in the image) u used the default elements for calendar and note. for this theme it's ok because they are blue and suitable with the theme...

very nice, considering the use of an online theme making machine, which have limitations and also with using a very difficult (considering readability) wally

I tried Carbide.ui...i have 3.4...but its too tough to make themes on that..also i dont have icons...can u tell me from where u got those icons...

1 More question how to edit the sis file..??????

hehehehehehehe.... u can't edit the .sis file..... unfortunately u'll have to start all over again.... this on the other hand is the advantage of carbide..... u can edit your themes....

i have my icons from various sites in the net... just google icons for symbian or symbian icons or icons for (your phone model) and surf through the results....

Hai THA... I guess we should have the tips for S60 themerz... How many parts we need to make or change to make a s60 theme... Please tell us that.. So that we can have a basic idea... Thanks..

sorry Shaon, but i don't quite understand u... what do u mean by your comment? there is no answer to "how many parts..."... in fact there is an answer..... "all the available parts"... there is no number... e.g. is s60 3rd edition there are approx 500 icons a themer should change in carbide. if u add the 3rd party icons that most of us are icluding in our themes, the number gets even higher (from the icons only....)
but this is not a tip... it's just common sense... e.g. shashank's theme is based in blue... only 2 things were red there and makes no sense these items to be red. so i guess he forgot them and paid no attention when he prepared his preview... that's ok.. it's human... that's why we comment and point such things out....
but if this red touch was a themer's choice, it's different.... it's a themer's point of view and it comes up to us if we like it or not...... i personally don't care if something is default or modified, since it suits the theme according to my taste (that's because i'm talking for myself....)
so in fact there are no tips in theme making.. it's all about personal style.... LHS has his style, branislaw has his style, Igmonius has his style... even more, primavera has her own elegant style and poupi her unique colorful style....
there is no point for me saying that "u have to do this or that" cause then we will have another "thabull" style in theme making... what we need is new theme making styles....
in order to become a better themer the "secret" is, as in everything in this life, very simple... u need work.....
u need to work with the "hard", but full of capabilities carbide instead of the easy and fast online theme making machines. u need to start working with .svg files (that means photoshop, illustrator and other "heavy" programms). in general it means that u need to start spending much more that 10 minutes in order to create a theme.....

still didn't got your question though....



i'll have to make the same work u will do.... (i don't have any links in my "favorites") so u have to make your own quest my friend.. and who knows u may find something new....

Sorry Alex bro... I'm gonna clear it... Yes I was talking about number... But not the way you got.. That means which things like "icons, clock, buttons, navi pans, scrollbars etc... I means how much elements are there to change... I hope it's clear...

now it's more clear Shaon... thanx..... but the answer remains the same..... "all u can c" and trust me there r many thing u can c.....
signal and battery bars, analog and digi clocks, scroll bars, call windows, calculators... just open the carbide and start counting elements....
if anybody has the courage and patience to count them, please let me know too....
and i repeat it.... this is not a theme making tip.... it's common sense....

when i created my first SE theme, i didn't ask anybody.... i was editing everything i was seeing......
and the result was...?
(as far as the intergration of the theme is concerned, not the beauty... personal taste varies as u know....)

@ Alex bro.. Yap bro... That's common sense... And I was too much scared to do it after just watching the window of carbide for the first time... And still it's little scary to me..

don't be afraid my friend... there is no reason u should be afraid...... all u need is available time on your side to tam the monster...

when i first took a look in SE theme maker i was a bit scared too (i know that we can't compare these 2 programms ). but i started editing one by one the elements i was seeing.....
i know that in carbide is "a bit" more than that , but if u have time on your side and, imho, a phone to check what u r creating, u and everybody will be creating very good themes much faster.....

and since we are talking themeing i have an idea..... lets make this thread work a bit......

so here is a question to all my fellow s60 themers (3rd and 5th)..... i hope this will work like a poll.... so we will have a statistic result at the end...... S40 and SE themers can do the same...... so at the end when anybody will think to start making some kind of theme will have an idea of where he/she will get difficulties....
