Hello there!

Well i'm a newcomer in S700 world and i really like the way we can customiz our phone...but i'm a real newby in using Photoshop i've made today my first theme and it seems to be quite good, his size is about 305kb. i noticed other themers using original Highlights for their themes and i'd like to do the same but how do they do that ? are they using Ps for these or another app? please help... i'm really interested in making themes for this phone it's really a great one .

yes the higlights are done in Photoshop as well

basically you just create any shape or image you want for highlight and if you want to make it 'see through' you reduce the layers opacity in the layer palette. save as .png file and that's it

Ok i ssee ...about the " see through " thing it's ok i've already been used to it now but i don't see with wich tool you make the shapes of the highlights could explain please ? In all themes i've seen theses elements add really " something " to the whole theme.

it's a matter of trial and error really

Try drawing a few things with the shape tool (different shapes of course) and see how they come out

I use the selection tool and guidelines mostly when I create theme graphics - and freehand drawing, but all in Photoshop.

i use shapes mostly as I can't draw to save my life but with combined shapes I just might get something useful.

no i'm still using photoshop to make my themes i've made one with Christina Aguilera and it looks quite good. I've just read your replies and i found the shape tools unfortunatly i can't try this night coz where i live it's really late and in 4 hours i've to woke up and go to work i'll try tomorrow and tell you how it works if one of you wants to have a look at my theme just give me your email so you could probably se what i can do and what i can't.

Anyway thanx for the answer i'm sure it will help me a lot for my future themes.
