Description: Below are 2 orb images/psd/tutorials. Use it to make your wallpaper.
Resolution: 480x640 (HTC Touch Diamond)
Restrictions: You must work with 1 of the 2 given orbs.
Additional info: The images are on transparent backgrounds. Both designs can be made using Photoshop or Gimp. You can download the PSD’s from the links provided or use the tutorials to make your own. Oh My Goodness i love challenges and i am definitely in. i will give it a try i want to make Christmas ornaments its amazing way of learning it through the tutorials thanks a million Eric you really crazy but a quest. Eric the tutorials you gave are specifically of the styles you have shown like i am talking about last one christmas so do we have to make those exactly with different colors or its just the tutorial

KewLone - I think They are Just Tutorials. You don't Have to Imitate! You have to Mod the Image Urls. Any One o the Image! I took the First One! Its More Detailed. Plus Its Simple to Make! hahah...

Lionking – you are welcome to join … just ask here if there’s something you don’t understand

Kewlone – the people who use other programs will be limited to using the 2 orbs I gave … but if you use Photoshop or Gimp you can do just about anything you want – as long as the glossy/shiny parts of your orb(s) are more or less the same as in image 1 or 2. I’ve been experimenting with image 2 and this is what I have so far:


It needs lots and lots of more work


If there is anyone not using Photoshop or Gimp, but using a program that can put layers on top of each other … just ask and I will give you the layers as separate transparent images.

I don't know about this theme...
Sure is not ordinary but I don't know If I will give it a try.
It depends on my mood ...

Oh no Lia … I hope you will think of something to do
Remember the orbs only have to be part of your wallpaper … the whole wallpaper doesn’t have to be about orbs.
I made this in under 30 sec (the fairy was already cut out) or you can simply use the orbs as buttons on someone’s shirt or … well ANYTHING!!



or if you use only this glossy part of 1 of the orbs then you can make something with bubbles or something …

CrazEric - WOHO! Its Very Simple But Very Complicated CE! The Work Done seems to be Very Much Worth! I Like it! But I think You can do Much More! But I don't say that This Isn't the Best One! Coz I really Like it too Much!

Lions - You can't Put 2 Images in the Contest! Just Use anyone. Or You can merge both The Images and Put it as oNe and Yes Change the Image Size too! Good Luck! I like that But!

but I dont like the flower branches coming from the corners and i think 3 orbs will look better than2

For those who want to keep the HTC layout in mind ...
the picture shows what my wallpaper would look like when browsing the menus
but keep in mind that even during standby a little of the top and bottom seems to be cut of

Sam – that looks better without the branches coming from the corners and I’ll give you 10/10 for originality … but the overall look still bothers me. The 2 orbs look kind of lost and stuck in the middle there. As much as I like your soft background I think a kind of “technology looking” background (like in the 2nd example of post#2) will go better with your orb design.

Sorry if I’m being to harsh or critical mate. I think I’m starting to sound like boxie


Mother – I'm glad you got into the topic I thought all the themers would make Christmas related wallpapers … you just know the TMC topic will be Christmas soon

Anyway I love your wallpaper … it has a wonderful 3D feel to it!!
I can make 2 suggestions if you’re interested …
but they are both just based on my personal taste - and will probably turn out to be bad ideas!
1. I would like to see the alien a little bigger with some of his leg going into the bottom part of the orb
2. I don’t know if this will look good or bad … but maybe you can add some alien symbol(s) to the orb

lionking – your image looks great the only thing I can suggest is some sort of soft light from behind your globe

PG – I agree with the others the smaller image will work well
