I just bought nokia 2700 c and since they don't give datacable in the box, I bought it separately. Now, I used the datacable and it's connected with my pc but it just not show up in system tray so that I can click on it when removing.

So, what shall I do to remove the device from my pc? Just remove it as it is? Will it affect my mobile or PC?

I also checked 'My computer' and I tried right clicking on nokia icon and there is also no options to 'safely remove hardware' or something sad.gif Please suggest me something. I'll surely choose best answer. That's what I can do at least

I never ever use "safely remove". I always unplug my USB-devices, and I never got any problems by doing so wink.gif

if SE phone, even u right click the mass storage icon at system tray.
1. right click my computer
2. go to properties
3. hardware
4. device manager
5. Universal Serial Bus controllers(at bottom)
6. see for mass storage if any
7. then right click to uninstall it
but somehow ur phone may identified
as other device too, so u need to analyze
that device u think is possible.
one more thing, if there is any file transfer after the afew moment
u want to disconnect usb cable, pls do repeat all steps 5minutes later or u'll have to restart ur PC.

Thanks. But I don't find 'Mass storage' in the 6'th step. Instead I see 4 USB ROOT HUB. Anything to do with that?

if u selected filetranster(FT) some windows will marked it as imaging device...
what more could i say, some ppl might thinking i doing this 'monkey bussiness' for gain more points.
just go with CrystalEYE, pull out the cable seems to be the easiest way. Be cool
