I just bought Nokia 2700 classic with which am happy enough.

1. Not a very large screen. But you don't need to strain your eyes.

2. Bluetooth - Yes

3. 1GB Memory card - expandable upto 2GB

4. Yes. But not better from your point of view.

* 2 megapixel camera
* 4x digital zoom
* White balance modes: automatic, daylight, cloudy, tungsten, fluorescent
* Colour tone modes: normal, sepia, black & white, vivid, negative
* Light sensitivity modes: high, medium, low, automatic
* Landscape (horizontal) orientation

5. I started using mobile9 only after purchasing this set

6. The name is N O K I A

7. Sorry but you didn't mention one?

8. Not very good. But good enough for me.

And it is just Rs. 4100.

People say that radio transmission is not very clear in this cellular phone. But it was not my experience. May be because I only access radio when am out of my home.

And one more thing - The set doesn't come with USB cable. But it won't be more than Rs. 100 if you purchase it separately.

Am an Indian and I bought it only in India (Chennai).

I don't exactly remember the speed transfer... I suppose I transferred a 11 MB file in 20 or near seconds. As per review in many website, music volume was good in this set. But I was not totally satisfied. Though I felt it's OK...

And no idea about Nokia 6303

The first thing I want to add is that you can't expect from a phone for 200$ to have everything. My Samsung i900 has almost everything, but not everything and it's a new phone (Released 2008).

1. Touchscreens always have big screens.
2. Bluetooth has become a common thing in recent phones.
3. The memory card slot also.
4. Low budget phones don't have a good camera.
5. Java is in every phone.
6. Service Operator dependent.
7. The more extras it has and are used, the faster the battery is drained
8. Symbian is for the middle-class phones
9. Your choices, my comments:

i. Nokia (Currently not taking out much good phones)
ii. Motorola (Good phones, but in the high class)
iii. LG (Haven't tried also, can't comment)
iv. Sony Ericsson (Very good battery life)
v. Samsung (I also hated Samsung, but they are taking out good phones in the moment)

6303 and 5230 are a good option. I think 6303 has a good camera.

i think ur talkin about samsung omnia.... right..?
and i considered 3 phones all from nokia....

1) nokia xpressmusic 5320
2) nokia 6303
3) nokia 2730

i think i cant compare 2730 and 6303.... both have almost equal but people prefer 6303 idk y... it dosent have 3g but 2730 has 3g... its really confusing....
actually i use samsung right now... so i think i'll have to wait n watch or do some s***...
coz nokia's new release 5230... well maybe i gotta think/wait a little if its out i'll take 5230 else 5320.... 6303 is a good phone but lacks 3g... 2730 is a great phone but somehow people dont prefer it coz of its audio output... my friend says to go for sony but another says that sony suck in software.... well got to get used to them... if 3g comes to india in another year i'll take a 3g phone i.e. 6303 is dropped else i have to wait a bit i hope... *sigh*

Samsung has good phones in the middle and high-end classes, but I don't know about the lower class.
If you ask me, the lower the model number, the worse it is. By Nokia the numbers are like classes - 1100 is from the cheapest. That is why I wouldn't choose 2730. Maybe something from the 5*** class would be the best choice. I'm a fan of touch-screens, because there is no physical keyboard and the videos and pictures are bigger, because of the screen. 6303 is a good option, but it doesn't have Symbian and 3G. In my opinion, 3G isn't really a lack, because 3G is only good for a faster internet and video calls (and also the calls are connected a little bit faster than 2G, but that's nothing special), but nothing else. In my country 3G is only in the major cities, so if you are away from the city, you will be in the 2G network. I think you should wait with the Sony. A Nokia is a better choice. I haven't had a Sony Ericsson after my K700i, but I can tell you that it is always better to buy a phone with an OS (in this case I mean Symbian).

3g aint bein a standard till 2011 (atleast)...
so i better stick on...
well i'd still appreciate if you tell me of more options or models.. grouphug.gif

I mean that (I'll repeat myself) "it is always better to buy a phone with an OS" for number of reasons and the main is that phones with an OS are always smart phones. 3G isn't something special - that is my idea. For the money you said, I think the 5*** series are the best.

ya and i mean most.... the least priced i found was 160 euros... i want within 150 euros.. or about 200$ and too i want them available.... some are discontinued too.... i really checked them..
you put 400 eur and not 150 eur as max...
blade87
I did that, because the prices in GSM Arena aren't that accurate, so in some countries some models are cheaper. Don't follow the price in GSM Arena. Use it only to see what extras the phone has, because in every country phone prices are different. So check out the phones and see at what price they are sold in your country.

OMG never... there is a store near my home too... (walkable distance) but they charge more.. more than what the normal retailers sell at.... they charge you from the drinking water and the cooldrink/coffee you drink/they offer and they charge tax so high that u'll be in the streets.... the ordinary retailers do not levy tax and also give you a perfect bill i.e.with all the spec. and the TIN number stamped and other s*** like that store too.... but anyways thanks smile.gif
