hey people. This time I found some time to make some comments according to mho (most of them are not technical, but from a user’s point). Considering that there is no badge beneath my avatar you may value the following the way u like…. (I just expressed my thoughts and likes, that lead me to voting…..)


@shadowthemes: very nice and impressive wall. The different highlights though, are not very much of my taste….

@kashif: I really like your b&w (but u didn’t have to use that black highlight in your menu

@igmonius: always high quality themes from you. I would prefer though, in your text coloring the highlighted text to be white and the others gray (works better for the visibility). U could also use danut icons for the calculator and music library too.

@jolansky: very good theme (but why did u changed your highlight into black? This causes readability problems…)

@anuj: very well constructed theme!!!!!! Metal is very obvious

@Sam: really like your color combination, but I’m concerned about readability with your black text. Like your icons very much

@thabull: since i know u personaly i can say without prejudice that: i don't care about the theme, but u r the GREATEST (also the most handsome, the most clever, blah blah blah)

@ findgirl: almost perfect (I can’t give u a 10, cause I don’t want u to get back and relax……). It’s a pity I don’t use a s40 phone

@sscob: very well built theme. Very solid. Nice inspiration in your highlights

@MCH: u know I like your theming yasmeen, but I think your highlights should be more solid. And how in earth did u miss the calendar highlight?

@Branislaw: awesome!!!!!!!!! (this is the use of text coloring I’m suggesting to Igmonius….). u could use though the blue highlight everywhere (that would be perfect)

@cute heart: I think u can do better than that (u mixed purple, dark gray and red, but I can’t c no pattern in that mixing….) u could also use the main wall everywhere if u have darkened it….

@clown92: very metallic mate, but your calendar has an issue…..

@moonlightmyfire: I really like this black-gray and red, but your text coloring should be the opposite….

@elaginn: told u that loved that metal-wood combination, but u missed the calendar highlight too…. And this blue shades in your icons doesn’t fit with the brown and silver of your theme….

@Gault: very nice and clear dude

@freeword: u need a lot of work to do my friend, but (this “but” is a good one…) I c very good potential in you

@sportskiller: very nice, very clean, no readability or visibility issues (except the text in the central softkey….), nice new icons, but gives me the feeling that lacks inspiration…. I know u can do much better…

That was a tough one this week - too bad that one can only vote for *one* theme to be on 1st, 2nd, 3d, 4th and 5th place.
I don't know how often I wrote "highly functional" ("good functionality" etc. ...) in my comments - I was never so glad to repeat myself and think that STC is on a very good way

Nice gold-silver combination and Grid icon animation effect; good readability of texts in all menues except popup: image on the popup makes some texts hard to read - would be better with a dark, semi-transparent colour layer

Imho your best so far; neatly executed and highly functional; very cool icon manipulation; I especially like the smooth, semi-transparent list highlights and the "glow" effect on the forms; if I'd use an S60 as main phone, your theme would become an "Evergreen" on it for sure

Very ambitioned theme with many details (considerable: the effort you put in an exciting List Highlight/softkey design) but it suffers from usability flaws: Black digital clock text in the submenue statusbar hard to read on black background; horizontal silver lines in the statusbar clash with the statusbar text, would be better 6 or 7 pixels down; white softkey text in the submenues hard to see on silver softkeys; image on popups makes popup texts hard to read; pattern on calendar image is very busy, interferes with the calendar numbers; icons are nice, but quite small

Very functional in all menues; cool softkey design and icon set; 3D Grid Highlight came out very nice; way to go

Nice wood/shiny metal contrast with interesting statusbar; good usability; Cosmetics: List Highlights would be better without the black parts as the latter interfere with longer List Highlight texts; you forgot to skin the calendar background image an the Acitve Idle Row Highlight; Grid icons switch to default when selected; to avoid that, you must put in an icon for "Grid" AND "Animated Grid" in Theme Studio 2.2 (and name them differently as two image files with the same name are sometimes not properly read by the phone).

Nice wallpaper, eye-pleasing harmonic colour scheme and good functionality in all submenues; way to go, too

Your theme wasn't in your gallery yet, so I couldn't test it on the phone but from what I see on the screenshot, the submenue background needs some work to increase the legibility of the texts; especially the orange texts will be are hard to read on the greyish background image; I'd make the latter darker and then colour both the Grid and List menu texts orange, for example; the colour of the highlighted text could then be white for better distinction

Highly functional with a refreshing color combo; nice softkey and funny Grid Highlight design; icons a bit small in non-selected state

Igmonius
Theme imho has become a bit too monochrome - could need a contrasting colour too spice it up; functionality is good; again a nice Grid/List highlight design experiment - looking foward to your next ones

In the Tab View, you accidentally put in the wrong background image for "Messaging", it's different from the nine others;

Nice idea of an unusual Grid/submenue layout; I like the vivid color scheme very much; witty idea with the nine Grid icon arrows pointing to the middle; The silver "Pill"on the Idle Screen that contains the Operator Name is to short for most of the latter. The accordant pill in the submenues is too short for some texts (e.g. for "Create message" in the SMS menue).

Another one from the "imho your best so far" category This theme was a pleasant surprise as it actually looks much better on the phone than on the screenshot taken from good old Theme Studio 2.2. Nice softkey/statusbar design; good functionality, matching icons; nicely done navigation elements, especially the shading on the List Highlights looks good;

Neatly executed gradients, nice colour combo and consistent shiny metal look; Good!

Simple and quite functional; nice idea with the elliptical Grid Highlight for a change; completely transparent Input Highlight not so good as it's sometimes hard to see which item in a list is actually highlighted, e.g. when making a new calendar entry

Worked good on the phone except two flaws: black part on the right end of the List Highlight not so good as it interferes with longer List highlight texts; black line in the submenue statusbar interferes with the digital clock and the signal/battery icons

Submenue image would need the famous half-transparent black or colour layer - as it is now, it's too busy and makes white text hard to read; nice new List Highlight and cool indented look of the loader; you proved a good eye for nice colour schemes; proposal for a next step: more elaborate softkey designs - they could imho add much to your themes

@ sports killer, nice entry and cool wally, only thing i picke up on was the eye on the calendar screen highlights 3 dates, not sure if thats ok, just my opinion tho, really liked the icons and over all a nice theme.

@ free word. not bad, a bif difficult to comment as you only have 8 screens. like elaggin you have dark text on a dark background on calendar screen try and make functionality a priority when creating themes

STC 19 was one of the best week we have had in recent times. We had 18 entries [this means STC is safe for the time being ] and the entries were all amazing, glad to see the quality of all the work.. ..This week we had four newcomers; shadowtheme, freeword, sscob1 and clown92, and they presented some amazing work too.. ..
