Oh cool, my "old" topic, thanks to whoever provided those rich resource links. smile.gif
Here's another one: http://patterns.ava7.com/

A lot of the patterns in the mentioned links come as .pat files that are meant to be directly installed to Photoshop.

Here's a little explanation about how to use them:

Close Photoshop.
Then you have to locate Photoshop's Preferences folder and copy the .pat file(s) there.
Generally, the path is
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop XYZ\Preferences\Patterns
Whereas "C" stands for the drive you installed PS to and "XYZ" for your version of PS.

Then open Photoshop and create a new file.
(I recommend making the new file a bit bigger than the actual phone screen, e.g. 400x400px, so you can still shove the pattern a bit around to find the best cutout for your theme).

Now select the whole area (Strg+A).
Then go to "Edit" - "Fill" and in the popup menu, select "Contents" - "Use: Pattern".
You will find your new pattern(s) in this list. Select the one of your choice.

Close the popup menu and voilá - the base for your theme is ready.

Shalu: I referred to an old post in the STC Feedback & Suggestions Thread where we could make suggestions for STC topics;
It contains no further info, but here are some nice examples of themes with a repeated pattern:

Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
Example 4
Example 5

Hope this helps. smile.gif

Nop, the two wally are nice but don't fit the topic. Please take a look at BB's example of repeated pattern themes and I'm sure you will get the idea of this topic. smile.gif
MissCharmingHeart
oky aruther how about these images

and if any of them is right which do u suggest
Bishop_Bacon
MissCharmingHeart: #2 and #3 don't match the topic as they're not real patterns; the patterns #1 and #5 don't repeat themselves (at least not in the cutout chosen by you)

#4 is fine thumbsup.gif
igmonius
This is my first project,so can you tell me is it good for this topic, thanks

Thanks BB for the help
Bishop_Bacon
igmonius: Sorry, no, that image doesn't match the topic; repeated patterns consist of elements that repeat themselves in a regular, continous way.
Here are some more examples:

You can also check out the resources links in the first post.

swt_capri: that pattern's quite ok smile.gif

sorry that u are explaining this over and over
its just in here in the contest u bring to many new concepts to us
try to understand that we just as a theme maker choose the image that we prefer and make a theme of it
iam still confused i have to say and i have another image to ask about it
is it a repeated patter or not
see

i already have another green pic but i like this much better
if not
i promise to keep nagging u hehehehehehehe till i find an image that appeals to me the most or i will get setteled with that green one hehe lol
Bishop_Bacon
No problem. No, it's not a repeated pattern either, so I think you have keep nagging me. wink.gif

To be honest, I didn't think (and still don't think) of the topic to be *SO* hard to understand . I'm fully aware that you're just searching for a nice topic-matching wally to use - sorry to repeat myself, but did you take a look at the resources links in the entry post? They contain loads of them. smile.gif

i did but i didnot like any that much anyway i shall work on my green one then till i find another image to ask about deal
and it isnot about being hard
but mostly in my own opinion anew subject like for example when they suggested the vector art wallys
its gonna take time to know but hell of themes shall be done by mobile 9 members
i have to say i feel like a tiny ant in the jungle but iam learning hehe
Bishop_Bacon
Ah, now that you mentioned the vector wallys, I see what you mean. Good that you pointed that out, it's for sure something to be more aware of when selecting the topics for future STCs.
And I'm sure, nobody expects from you to create helluva themes in an instant. Super-duper ones will do. wink.gif
MissCharmingHeart
well then first perview what do u think people
