Nice colour scheme and quite functional. Cosmetics: rounded corners of the Grid Highlight are pixely.

saraamir
Clean and functional with reasonable choice of elements and texts for good functionality. Well-chosen wallpaper, illusion of depth works quite good. Thumbs up!

cute_heart
Nice design of softkeys and highlights. Greenish tinge of the submenu backgrounds doesn't match the colour of the brown list highlight/middle softkey and the orange text colour; would be better in a light brown or orange-ish tone. Light brown list text colour in the submenues partially blends with the background image and is therefore hard to read.

kashif85
Imho your and Shalu's entry are the best S40 themes in terms of functionality and design this week. Your theme: clean, consistent in colours and design elements from the softkey down to the loader. Nice glass effect of Tab Highlights and Forms. Cosmetics: Black line of the statusbar clashes with the statusbar text, would be better a few pixels down.

Shalu2173
This came out really good - flawless in terms of usability, consistency and choice of colours; good choice of images and well-done submenue background image manipulation; appealing barwork and nice matching icons. Way to go.

igmonius
Looks good and quite functional on the phone with many details in it; status area 60 pixels from the top could be a bit darker to make the Navi Pane texts more visible; rounded edges of the Grid Highlight look pixely, would be better done in 9-piece-mode.

elaginn
Has some basic problems: three different background pics are irritating, like looking at three different themes. Texts in the submenue partially blends with the background images and is therefore hard to read. You forgot to put in a background image for the calendar and to skin the popup.

swt_capri
Has some usability issues: White text is hard to read in some submenues; submenue background image would be better with e.g. the famous semi-transparent black layer on it to increase readability of the text.
Bevel and emboss effects especially on the list highlights don't look good, makes them look bulky. In general, the bevel and emboss effect has to be handled very carefully to really look good, I'd rather experiment with subtle gradients instead. Yellow list highlight text blends too much with the light orange list highlight (especially on small list highlights) and doesn't stand out enough. Text on Selected and Unselected Forms have identical colours so it's hard to say which item is actually highlighted.

sourav_kumar
Good readability and colour consistency. Good you added a black semi-transparent layer to the submenue images so the texts stand out clearly from the background. Nice Grid Highlight design and funny loader. Flower rim around the main area is a nice design idea, would look even better with the green leaves forming a compact border I think.

galmed
Nice lightweight theme with good functionality. Good to see you paid attention to the latter, e.g. you softened the submenue and calendar images with a white gradient and you chose the text colours for selected and unselected forms in a way that they're clearly distinguishable. Nice matching icon set. You forgot to skin the Active Idle Row Highlight and its tab.

_anuj_
Theme is good in terms of usability, except for the calendar - black calendar numbers are hard to read on dark calendar background. Glow/outline effects on the statusbar and list highlight not-so-nice as they're erratic and unsymmetrical.

MissCharmingHeart
This would be quite usable with the submenue images a bit darker. As it's now, the grid and list highlights are sometimes hard to distinguish from the background. Nice illusion of depth of the wallpaper and nice semi-transparent water bubble icons - they match the main motive quite well.

Great functional theme! The sofkeys is a little to easy for my taste imho

Branislaw
Nice background and softkeys. The grid high was very nice, also the icons looks great!
When it comes to functionality is no good having a transparent input. When you want to change say the date and time the input turns white and often the text colour is also white then it's impossible to change anything. Hope you don't mind i'm saying this. Just wanna help. When you think the theme is ready for the public test it on the phone. Test all elements! Often there is a bug somewhere. Keep it up!

shalu
Beautiful work! Not so much details this time but very neat and clean...Great work!

Kashif85
Awesome softkey. I don't own a s40 phone but it's looks awesome. Great work!

Happyyesh
Very nice too! Great wally, softkey and list high. thumbsup.gif
Like branislaw your input is almost tranparent too and it's not good

igmonius
I really like the the standby overall. The clock, wally and softkey. Great match!
I think you did great! One thing: The unfocused list frame and the setting list text is both white.

So my suggestion is also to you to test all elements on the phone. Like the screen to change date and time.. thumbsup.gif

this one was tough....

@Bishop Bacon just one question.... the thing that 3 of 15 participant themes weren't commented by u means that

a. they were flawless?
b. u didn't noticed that these themes exist?
c. u didn't have any thing to say?
d. u didn't have the time to comment?
e. something else?

i think that u should refer to those 3 themes (at least with just a hi...) since u have commented 12 of 15 (almost all...). after all, u are a judge in this contest and it would be helpfull for us to know what u are thinking about our themes in order to become better, to correct our flaws
otherwise, since u are a judge most of the time, there is no point to take part in the contest, as we still make the same mistakes that u don't like...

(i wouldn't say these if i saw u commenting half of the entries, but 12/15.... ? )
with all the respect

Congrats to the winners and all the participants as well... especially to igmonius (rekoh li ti ja da ti je ova tema extra?), kashif and Saurav, for their very first trophies in theme making competitions of any kind here on m9... clap.gif
Sorry I didn't vote, but the themes were all so very nice, so I realized that I will not have enough time in my already hectic life to make the right decision and pick the best 5... surrender.gif

The correct answer is e),
for time reasons and as I'm more S40- than S60-experienced (and as the second judge is mostly an S60 expert), I mainly concentrate on S40 themes when commenting. This time, I had a bit more time left so I commented on the S60 themes that imho were "Top 5", too. Sorry if this should have caused annoyance in you.
In fact, there are no mistakes I "don't like". The most important thing for me when judging a theme is its functionality and as for that, there is no such thing as personal preference.

Yup, and just so you are clear about what I told judges (since they also have life outside theming) - "you don't have to provide comments if your don't have time. If possible, please at least comment on those you've selected as Top 5 so the others can see why those entries are best & can learn from there". But how they want to do it is up to them. They are already too kind to give a hand so I won't ask any more than that. grouphug.gif
