As a principle I do not use animated standby images in my themes, at your case the background gradient is not smooth because its a gif. If you change the background to one color or reduce the contrast of the gradient I think animated one is ok.

wonderful job man. your great. but isn't the gloss on your softkeys to bright. should be a little darker. but im not sure. it must be me.

hi..both are cool..but i like non animated the most..

great start.. but i will suggest you to reduce the stroke of softkeys to 1 pixel..

great start.. i m not expert but still wana to say that softkeys and statusbar are different.. means u gave matte look to statusbar and gloss look to softkeys..imo they should b the same..pardon if i am wrong..
