I like the 3rd one the most, but the 1st one is probably the easier to manipulate... still, at the end of the day, the best one is the one you like the most and inspires you to make a theme of it...

It looks really good LHS, but I didn't expect less from you... One suggestion tho, selected tabs in this case IMO might look better without pattern and moved up for one pixel, to be in the same line as unselected ones...

@ jeator..nice start..but u have not added softkeys in front and in desktop..desktop is also very sharp..i will suggest you add a black layer with lower opacity on the desktop..hope it helps..
