I'm trying to use some jpeg photos I have for making themes. I'm trying to resize and convert to a bmp but when I do this the resulting image is blurry. I've tried converting the existing jpeg to a bmp first and then resize but still I get a blurry image.

What am I doing wrong? By the way I'm using photoshop.

Another thought: Is it possible that there is nothing wrong with the image and that it's only blurry because of the enlarged size on my screen?

Yup There is nothing wrong with the image...it is normal that your image will blur when you resize it because the ratio of the pixels will be altered. Only a vector image retains its quality even when your resize it and not bitmap images..

I think what you can do with your image is to sharpen it or other filter effects..
