Hi AW, I'm in. To be honest, not up to speed on the term vector. Is it another word for CG?

Yes you can. But you need to observe the license. Some of them use Creative Common license which specify whether you can use the artwork and how you can use it. The best is always ask the artist's permission.

Well, yeeeees, but even more, just check who hosted week 116, I'm sure you know the guy very well... and the guy who hosted week 117, hmmmm... he is responsible for my acceptance to be TMC Manager...

Yup, I know those who hosted Week 115, Week 116, and Week 117. Two of them are my theming mentor, and the other one is a who is responsible for me being a 24/7 admin here these days. The guy who hosted Week 117 then leave you all alone in TMC. When you have the opportunity, him!

I certainly won't miss the chance, if I have one...

One question: I found great vector art here and I would like to use one of them for my theme but I don`t know if I had permission from author...what to do if I can`t contact him/her? I plan to said it`s his/her work in theme description. Is that good enough? Please answer...

I would have loved to join.. ..but as soon as I started Carbide I was lyk, ""Omg!!..!! what is this thing?..?"", and passed out for a couple of hours .. ..and decided not to open that monster anytime soon.. ..

Same with me! Give up Carbide and use Nokia S4.0 Theme Studio to make Nokia S4.0 theme, or use SE Theme Creator to make a Symbian UIQ theme.

yeah carbide is hell hard to use. so much to create and edit. i've heard that to make a complete S60 theme you have to edit more than 400 elements of the theme. S60 phones have more than 300 icons in total. if you can change them all.

Oh yeah, first time I used carbide I was like "you kidding me?" but like everything, it gets easier. Once you have created a few themes, you have virtually given yourself templates to work from. So next time you don't need to all the icons, just change the colour, by groups so you can change the icons 40 at a time.

Totally agree with NVDVS1...it`s hard when you start but after some time you can find it very interesting...don`t give up guys and try it...

I also agree with NVDVS1, the more I have to disagree on one thing I tried over and how many more times and I can not understand this damn program ... I have recently used the <url snipped>, is much less complicated.

Can't agree more! I use different templates to work from, so i'll never do all from scratch. In the beginning it's a real jungle this carbide but when you have worked with it for couple of hundred hours you will love it

This Is My Theme. Just Waiting For Your Comments And Then I Will Post It In The FE Thread. Its Made Just As BB Advised Me. The Tiger Is Made Using Shapes And Is Vector. Everything Else Was Also Created Using Pen Tool And Shapes.







The Icons Are From Axialias. The Same Ones BB Used In Her JET Theme (Awesome Theme It Was) They Are Re Colored By Me According To My Needs For This Theme.

if those fractals are made using Illustrator Or Fireworks or Photoshop Vectors like Pen tool or shapes then they are allowed.

but if they are made using brushes then they are not allowed cuz brushes are raster.

Agree with angelnaina, the Tiger theme is looking good! The wally is nice, icon set is fitting (not sure about the drop shadow tho, to me they are slightly too much), and vector barwork. Very promising!

sorry mate .. ..I was working on my TMC entry and as I'm done with it now, I'll start working on the STC entry xD.. ..
