What would you do the day you have successfully climbed Mount Everest and is 29,035 feet above sea level? Make a call home and say hi to your loved ones? Or broadcast the view on top of Everest to the rest of the world through LIVE video sharing?



You can't do all this at the moment because the remote Himalayan region does not have communication facilities. But soon all this will change because a Nepali telecom firm plans to set up mobile towers in 4 regions which will then bring the summit of Mount Everest within the network coverage. The firm hopes to finish the project by mid-June.

Its a cool idea, they should have there a small live camera, so we can see whats up there hehe

Satellite phone is ugly and big We want normal phones, you know how fashion is rough on M. Everest JK

suggest me a fashoinable phone with 3G and videocall,
