im really tangled up with my themes. font colors cuz the images for the idle screen and the navigation background are different. because of that im trying to find a color that suits both images.

Why don't test to make the bar in the same colour as the car..

try adding a glossy effect to the bars . instead of darkening them... and if your gonna make a 4.7 theme then the center softkey should be bigger than the side ones.. other wise on the input 1 screen the text (Continue) will go out of it...

Besides making the center button wider you could try:
1. creating a mask area the size & shape of the softkeys.
2. place the image of the car behind it (can be original size of image - you adjust size as you go along)
3. see how elements of the car look on the mask of the softkey.
4. once satisfied, copy image out, slice it in half vertically, flip the remaining part & see how you feel about it.

(same technique can be done for the status bar, but graphic treatment should be applied or image should be edited to make it a usable statusbar or softkey)

oh ya... there's a slight white outline around your car - you need to crop you image 1px from the edge

thanks everyone for the advice on my theme, but i am gonna discard that "Blue Ferrari" idea. the car doesn't look too hot to me



ahh....nice research! i didn't see the W980 gallery in M9 though.
and when i did a little research of my own yesterday, before asking this, i found that W960 themes seemed to have a lot of downloads too.....



what i am going to do is convert one of my themes to other models (k850 and one more that i think is good) and compare the downloads statistics, as soon as i finish TMC, i mean

I need some suggestions about font color. the color i've sued is the one Mani suggested.

and one question. (Cant we change the color of the softkey text in the media player..)???


One more thing i must make clear before the judges or other participants look at my theme.

In the input 1 box where we write and send text messages. the word "Continue" in the center softkey looks pretty big. and it looks as if it will go out of the softkey. but i've tested the theme on my phone and it looks very well. cuz text is alot smaller in the phone as in the computer.

it took me a lot of time to create the following. had to tweak it around a lot to make it functional.....tell me what u think



@Gault: the backgrounds are awesome Gault! impressive. but i don't like that creamish-brown color u have used. i would stillsuggest a rusty brown.

This one is nice. i appreciate your hard work. but the ferrari theme is my choice for the competition. you should redesign your softkeys. and adding a Glass touch to them..

how about telling me the values for that rusty brown color your suggesting. cuz the color i used is Mani's suggestion.

Your theme looks really good so far... nice colour scheme overall and great details... I really like it...
Is it possible to use the same size of the ornaments from the 1st screen in the 2nd row, on the last screen in the same row, and some other screens as well?

Your best so far in TMC, IMHO of course...
Few suggestions tho... the navigations screens needs to be darkened a bit in the upper part, so the text could be easily readable (like it is on the popups etc.)... plus I believe that adding of some frames (like those from the highlights) on the popups, activity menu and morelist screen, would make this theme even nicer... also, the bottom frame on the statusbar and upper frame on the softkeys look somehow out of place to me...

As mani said, and I must agree, the bars with the pattern need a small darkening, or should I say, you have to make a subtle distinction, so they could stand out in comparison with the patterned backgrounds... following the overall colouring scheme, with the previously mentioned adjustments, I believe the text colours used are pretty good...

edit: just saw your compliment, thanx... but then again I also noticed something else... the pattern used on bars and backgrounds is not the same size throughout the theme...

@ Jasna.. first of all. Many Thanks for your advice.. secondly : the size of the pattern is different from one another because the size of the object is different. for example : the Highlight used in the navigation background is 231 X 38 and the same highlight which i made for Activity small is 203 X 38 due to the difference in the size of both objects the size of the pattern is also different. right now im working on your advice and darkening the pattern in the highlights and bars.
