im using 4 different images for the theme.. one for The Idle screen one for the desktop background one for navigation background and the last one for the media player...

...41-40-98 and always make sure the status and the softkeys are same color,shading etc. c ya mate

hey guys im really struggling to find an image now!!!! I wanna use something completely unlike me! so the hunt is on!
also does anyone know where i can pick up free icon packs for N95???? im sick of the standard nokia ones!!

btw, everyones themes are coming along quite nicely, Gault, my hubby LOVED ur image choice and I think he now wants it on his phone!!!! LOL!!!

You created your softkeys FROM MINES . ... I have no problems neither with that too...

That I really don't have any idea. One of the nokia themers should be able to help ... calling calling, BBT, Bishop_Bacon, Nemesis etc ...

I know quite a few nokia themes I installed uses icons from Flahorn.

Yup, the theme resource area is now under construction. Nearly done but it's currently being populated. Once it has a few resources to start with, we will open it to all.

Calling daisy06, 2 theme packs I use in carbide, acidsonic, sweet 3d versions of original ones, and jendells icon pack, which you can change the colours quite easy, check my hulk theme from week 219. Hey AW, pencil me in, I may do another s60 3rd theme.

Are you using the advanced themer? if so, it's so much like carbide anyway, and the best thing about these 2 icon packs is that they intergrete with carbide, so no selecting icons 1 by 1.

Dunno, worth opening the editor and see if you can select an icon pack, and go from there. otherwise it's 1 by 1 unfortunately.

there seems to have occured an unfortunate incident while i was away...but i won't comment on that.
i wanted to ask some questions...

1. which is currently the most popular SE phone in terms of DL numbers?
2. if i was to make an N81 theme, it would be S60v3, 240x320 right?
3. which is the best online theme creator for that? is the one in M9 good enough?
4. are there any advantages of using carbide over online theme creators? if so, what?

Hi boxie, point 2 is correct. As for online, you can do more with thatskin, advanced editor. You can import highlights, bars, icons etc, no worries from your files. I personall y don't like thatskin, their server sucks big time, time outs failed saves. Some people think carbide is too much to get your head around. All boils down to preference. I still say you can do more with carbide, match it with inkscape and you fav .bmp editor and your off running. Good luck mate.

Carbide themes are much cleaner than themes made with online theme creators..

Heres my new preview with new softkeys. hope that these do not break the rules.



This Time : the steps of construction are :

first of all i created a rectangular shape. after that i removed the un-needed area. and after that i applied Bevel And Emboss.
than i created new shapes in which you can see the pattern.. the pattern can be created by using free Metal Mesh Patterns from DeviantART.
and then overlaying it with a gradient that goes from black to transparent..

if anyone still has any objections. (Please)

...this is much much better matey-look promissing and if u like just darken a lit bit only at the pattern area using black gradient on the new layer and drop the opacity 50% to 73% so the text can be read nicely and avoid using white color text-it's only my humble opinion matey
