I'm curiously waiting too see who is the winer

LOL! This is the first time I see a participant wanting to know if she picked the winner, not whether she make it to the podium or not.

yeah i know it feels sad if you dont win or succeed but still the more you practice you will only get better and better and better and finally you will become equally talented as all the other talented people.

Nah ah,I meant I wanted to know if the theme I voted no 1 was the winner! I know it wouldnt be mine, not putting down my
work but there is no way im anywhere near the standards of the other themers in this tmc, im doing it for the practice and
to learn new things! i dont expect to win at all!!!!!

don't have a negative attitude. if you feel that you dont even stand a chance at winning. then you will never win. even with the best entry.

I know exactly what you mean! I never expected to win a contest and never did. Except once I was third, when there were four participants...
Somehow the contest is fun, 'cause you can show people, what you're doing, learn some new stuff and enjoy the challenge of creating something specific... I'm always real happy already if I have just a few votes...

In this competition I have only ever seen 1 natural themer, who blew all of us away on his very first try, this member was called " Time traveler "

However there was a catch, before he joined mobile9 he was already above the leagues of all who were here, he is a very skilled digital artist, and had been designing for many years, so sure he made great theme, he was already great

Anyways my point is this, it's simply not possible to be new to it all, and just do great, there is training involved for themeing, for instance, you could be a great artist, BUt if you don't know how to correctly use the software's for themeing you will fail, just as you need to know exact measurements etc for each area of each phone, this all takes a lot of practice but as others have said here already it will happen, so yea your not bad at all, PLUS your using nokia theming software, I begun as a nokia themer ( yes it is true ) and I cna tell you gril it's way harder than sony, by a mile , there is soo much more to edit, and skin, while this is great for making a more complete theming experience for the end user, it also means a lot of work for each skin, the older versions of nokia themeing software were no problem in this area, ( ahh good ol 2.14 ) but this new carbide software OMG it's hard, it's all vector, no png, all images need to be resizable, or the file will be corrupted on different handsets

so yea I quit nokia, and moved to greener pastures so yea keep doing what your doing, enter the comp each week, and before you know it i guarantee you a win ............


... But also always rememebr Daisy TMC is about the sharing and fun of community spirit, not winning in TMC we all are winners

Yeah, of course I can see the challenge you are facing. TMC is not easy, even big names you are seeing these days took a long time before they won any trophies in TMC. There are some exceptions of course, but not many. What they share in common is practise and the attitute of keep learning (someone once told me one best way to learn is through tutorials & looking at how great themers make their themes. Very good advice tho I never really continue theming). Plus, I can see that you've made a big improvement from previous TMC. So you are definitely in the right path.

Well yes I have spoken to him not so long ago, Both he and Sade were doing things on Digital Industry, until it was closed down, Sade was still going strong until she had some bad things happen to her life ( long story ) no one seen nor heard from her again yet

and Time traveler stopped his art progression, and lost alot of skills, ( he's not that good anymore ) I think this is due to busy family life

and for anyone interested Zleepy is still his same ol stuck up self

Aaaah, those themes that let you forget that it is actually a phone UI you're looking at.
Great background images and metal/rust effects! Pirates of the Carribbean comes to my mind. Rummaging around in treasure chests with old coins and stuff...

One of the best UIQ themes I have seen so far regarding design and usability.
Striped rims look a bit frimsy when appearing in small sizes (e.g. softkey and calendar).
Nevertheless: great tennis.

zjurina
Landed on 3d place because it's better than other entries in terms of technique and usability but lacks points in the "creativity" category.
I've seen this kind of bar- and framework so often in your themes that I wish you would leave well-trodden paths and try something else for a change.
C'mon, should be no prob with your vast themeing experience.

Ambitioned design with some consistency issues. White lines at the bottom of single title highlight and popup highlight as well as white line around the morelist look out of place. Tabs look oddly affixed and don't match the rest of the theme.

Ok, has pixely edges here and there but what really pleases me here is your conceptual approach, the effort to find an interesting (colour) partitioning solution for the UI. I'm sure, with practice increasing, you will soon rock the house this way.
