whats 200 ppi. you use 200 points per inch..

i thought resolution was set in dpi dots per inch.

first time i heard ppi.

err...pixels....

oh. now i get it. looks like the sleepiness is getting on my head.

im going to bed.

...me always set 72 pixels/inch 8 bit to all,bground,barworks etc. and finally i'll save my preview - save for web and devices as jpeg or png

Hi friends...I made some modifications on my theme...but I need your opinion...which one to use:

new one, with new analog clock and bars...



or old one, without bars...



any suggestions are welcome...

the new clock looks good....the new bars dont

Nice work...maybe you should change black fonts in your "bars" and "navigation" preview...I think it maybe should be brighter...everything else looks fine....

messaging color is different from all others....functionality issues in some places due to black text color
in the input screen the highlight color looks different from others
softkeys visible only on standby screen....you need to make them a part of your wallpaper itself.....

To add to what others have already said, your standby ( idle ) screen wallpaper image whatever you wish to call it ... is looking dreadful

I can see you have tried to take a larger image than will fit into your screen dimensions, thus you have edit image unevenly to make it fit

This is making the image look very weird, and not normal at all, it ruins your theme, and the standby screen is the most important screen of a theme, it's the first the end user sees, and thus needs to really impress

So to fix this you have some options ... they are

1 - use the clone tool to make from larger image into smaller via cloning sections etc

2 - highlight one section of the image instead of trying to squeeze it all in.

3 - try resizing your img in even amounts by using , edit / transform / scale , and then do it in % percentages eg: 50% smaller 20% smaller etc but be sure to keep the width and height measurements even when doing this.

When resizing an image via scale ALWAYS hold the shift key to keep it in ratio!

We are now in the second week of the competition and , as far as I know, BBT's choice was not to be a judge, but to theme on his own topic... at this point, we already have 2 judges for this competition... I should say, one of them is veryyyyyy qualified and I would like to see him as a judge as often as possible... the other judge, well, will get no comment from me anyway, but could be replaced anytime...
