@cute heart: like i said before, NEVER stretch out anything. like that star.....resize the bar separately and then add the start later
i notice a LOT of problems with your theme
1. there is some white border around your highlights. looks bad i suppose you wanted to make it smaller, and leave the remaining area transparent? if so, u have to save as PNG.......
2. your big title bar (see "Pictures") is different from everything else in the theme....why?
3. the star, as i mentioned, shouldn't be stretched out

@cute heart - I tried to point some of the places that needs to be fixed on your theme for you. Unify your highlights. They all must to seem in harmony. So do the tabs. Also I didnt understand why you used a star. If you used it just to add a small detail to your theme, then dont strech it, and may be you should make it smaller.
Continue on, try different ways of making your theme better. And go simple at the beginning, pay attention to the color balance, readability more then making a fancy theme. You will improve your skills in time.

pretty nice theme, though i am wondering why u used the default desktop highlight

and why does the "write new" screen (top right) have a weird blue background behind the softkey (in the space that is supposed to be transparent)

hmmm....i will take a look at it i have never used transperancy in my SKs before so i was just shooting off at the top

Thank you! Does indicator split mean the slider pentagonal arrow? I used the default one. But I am going to adjust top and bottom margin to make the slider thicker. Then it will suit the arrow.
The default scrollbar thumps will be changed also. Then it will be my final entry. Next week I will be busy.

yea i have tried P990 themes....i got shocked by the number of options i have to fill in

...as I can see, the top of the sofkeys (2-3 pxls approx.) is missing on both input 1 and 2, plus on input 1 you have status border apearring twice, so I guess input 1 and 2 are not cropped properly...

... you just have to try with some matching colours from the theme... in this case I think 3FD9FF will do...



edit: I've noticed now that your popup screen is not cropped properly as well...

Try to make one UIQ theme, you will learn alot of experiences, especially patience.

Everything you see in this theme is made by me. Except the wallpaper which was Manipulated by me. i have also tested this theme thoroughly on my T700. saw no reading problems. if you still think that there is something that needs changing your suggestions are most welcome.

Btw Here's my final preview this time the Continue touches the boundaries but still in the phone it looks perfect. when the text is a-lot smaller as compared to a 240 X 320 preview

One basic question, don't laught at me:
What resolution do you usually set for background images and barwork? I usually set 150dpi, and the final theme size is usually around 500KB to 800KB or more, without sound. What resolution is enough and effective, to reduce file size but ensure the quality?

i use 72 or 65 dpi on .png and 100 on jpeg and my theme weighs pretty much (791) KB without sound.

i use 200 ppi, just so that quality isn't compromised. all my themes are of different sizes
