i recently acquired a PS8, so i deleted my old PS7... but it was the program linked to the theme studio... now i can't edit the images directly from the studio... how do i fix this? it would really save me a lot of time... thanks!

Have u tried reinstalling the Theme Studio? Because there is a part in the intallation that asks what Image Editing program you want to use.
wengweng2003
will try that... thanks... i was thinking i might lose the tdf's and the components i worked on in my past themes... i guess i'll make some back-up and re-install... thanks again...

you can always go ... START MENU >> EXECUTE >> REGEDIT.EXE

Perform a search for Theme Studio or just Studio... I'm pretty pretty sure you'll find the value that set's the address for the image edditing program, and then change it's value to the new one! Restart the machine. Try that before re-install ... much more faster and easier!

@wengweng: in case u haven't done yet any of the above solutions posted earlier, let me share my suggestion... (perhaps others may pick up from here, too)...

From the Menu Bar, choose Theme => Properties (see pic A):
monski6600

after choosing Properties, u will see pic B
monski6600

in pic B above, u will will notice the (crudely) encircled items. item 2 (Pixel Program) refers to the default editing apps for theme studio; item 3 is the absolute path to the .exe file of the editing apps;

change value of item 3 by clicking item 1 (Browse) and you will get the next screen, pic C attached here...

browse thru to the .exe file of ur PS8,
click OK or open and that will now appear in item 3...
click OK then re-start ur theme studio...

note: u can click item 3 and position ur cursor there so that u can see the absolute path of ur existing editing app... if u installed PS8 in the default location of PS7, chances are directory and the .exe file name may almost be same...

sample absolute path in item 3:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2\PhotoshopElements.exe

i hope this helps you and others who may stray into this thread... rockon.gif grouphug.gif

I for one, think thats thats very silly editing your registry for this reason. theres no need for it.
Penaf
to me doesn't seems silly cause i'm used to edit my registry to keep it in top shape! Doesn't seems that hard either to change 1 only variable in this case! But it's just me! If you managed to work with Nokia Theme Suite why aren't you able to work with Regedit?? It's 99,9% simpler!
Rastajay
its just that there are many solutions for that problem.

I didnt even open Theme Studio when I posted the one above that is why my idea was the most tedious of all haha.gif haha.gif rockon.gif grouphug.gif
