About copying the protected DVD

Introduction:
Today I borrowed a DVD from a friend and wanted to copy them for backup. Using some copy DVD software like nero, showing "prohibit copying DVDs, and it can not be read."

Copy several folders onto the blank DVD-R by force, but they can not be played.

Can’t the protected DVD be copied?

Try free softwaree: DVD Decrypter and psp video 9.

thanks for all reply and help, It is successful with these two tools, first decrypt with DVD Decryptor, second burn with Recordnow.
However, I do not know why DVD players and PSP can not recognize the copied DVD?
Is it because of DVD-RW that I use?
(By the way, the original disc is used for internal communication, showing on the cover "prohibit copying and editing". It should be the genuine disc 2)

Thank for all reply, i just find i need one converter tools ,which support convet dvd to Mp4, i use Pavtube dvd ripper,works well.

i will download it and have a try.
