Full Version: Mobile Phone Replacing Ipod?

Played with the Ipod Touch yesterday at Changi Airport and it suddenly strike me that if Iphone is available in my country, do I ever need my iPod again? Perhaps not, because I would rather carry only one device at all time instead of 2.

Having said that, there are several reasons why people (perhaps you are one of them?) prefer a standalone mp3 player. So, may I borrow your brain for a second?

Why do you think people still carry their iPod when they have a mobile phone that support mp3 playing?

Suggested reasons:

Survey result:
The number of people carrying only mobile phone, and use it as mp3 player --> 3

Well I have a friend that always listen to iPod, and he also has a mobile phone that supports mp3. The reason is that he has a Samsung phone that only has l1256 Mb of memory, and he can put a lot more music on his iPod than on his mobile. Especially when he is travelling somewhere. And that is the way he likes it.

But on the other side, I rather have a walman series phone, that now has 8 GB of space for music, and a phone in one device than 2 devices.

So I guess ppl have different logics, or maybe mp3 players are still a lot more cheaper than a decent phone that has a decent memory for your mp3 music. smile.gif

who knows? I am glad that I have two in one solution thumbsup.gif

I think that until Iphone will can not be use at any network you like, but only at one network people will still carry their Ipod and cellphone separately

I don't carry iPod, N95 with 6GB memory is enough for me.

i dont like i pods i had one a year ago ... i'd rather carry a nokia xpress music

or a sony ericsson walkman phone ... i pods are a waste of

money thats why i never tried to buy a new i pod ... i pods are everywhere

even 5 year old kids got an i pod ... please im fed up seeing a device in

the white color in everyones hands which can only play

mp4s and i tunes ... so what the i pod touch introduced an option

for u to download music online my nokia 5700 xpress music phone

got the same kind of option and more , so as the s.e. w 960 i guess ...

bad luck for i pods i guess music phones are ruling the world ...

if not it will soon be like that ...

1.gif

sooner or later i pods will become a joke to everyone cuz everyones

using one also there are a lot

of companies making various designed mp3 and mp4 players

such as creative so everyone who really need an mp3 or mp4 player

than a phone have slowly started buying other branded products

which is more uniq than an i pod ...
