I also know how to do it, and since adonisdemon is thinking about revealing it, so am I.

But still you can download the theme tutorial that i made. The procedure on how to extract the pictures is in the tutorial.

See the last page of the tutorial (page 20) FAQ No. 2

See this thread for the tutorial: http://www.mobile9.com/invboard/index.php?showtopic=4491

Edit: adonisdemon "SPOILER" oops.gif

On SE phone themes you can just change the file extention from .thm to .zip
and then you can view (with winzip) all the files in the theme and you can take out single images and change it with a new one.

Is this cool or what!!

Advise: do this on your own themes because you would not want to make unwanted changes on someone elses themes!

retroboy - no problems wink.gif

you don't even need to rename it to .zip, just right click and open with (i use winrar) and just take the desired image.

I'm guessing that's why adonis wasn't initially sure he should reveal the method dry.gif

If it's only the standby screen you're worried about, then you can just choose a different wallpaper anyway blink.gif

it's a great start for any newbies (like me) to see how a theme is made. after that, the newbie can create his own. some of us here are just plain hobbyists and not a trained or professional graphic artist/computer user. and like with cars, we want to modify our phones' look and add our 'personal touches'.

we should give everybody the benefit of the doubt. after all, nobody can stop a 'determined ' rifle.gif theme-robber (can't think of a better term).

Everything on the web get's stolen in one way or another as long as they don't take credit for it and use it for personal reasons i see no harm in it though..
