An update is available that improves the compatibility, reliability, and stability of Windows Vista

INTRODUCTION
This update improves the compatibility, reliability, and stability of Windows Vista. This update includes the following improvements:
• It extends the battery life for mobile devices.
• It improves the stability of portable computers and of desktop computers that use an uninterruptable power supply (UPS).
• It improves the reliability of Windows Vista when you open the menu of a startup application.
• It improves the stability of wireless network services.
• It shortens the startup time of Windows Vista by using a better timing structure.
• It shortens the recovery time after Windows Vista experiences a period of inactivity.
• It shortens the recovery time when you try to exit the Photos screen saver.
• It improves the stability of Windows PowerShell.
This update also resolves the following issues in Windows Vista:
• A compatibility issue that affects some third-party antivirus software applications.
• A reliability issue that occurs when a Windows Vista-based computer uses certain network driver configurations.

Well they definitely need to do something cause other than being a pretty eye candy Vista doesn't have much going for it.
If my laptop didn't come with Vista I would've told them to put on XP Pro at least that was reliable..

But u dont need Vista to make ur Lappy work!.. There is XP n Ubuntu [Linux]
I remove Vista using Linux n then install XP on it!!

since most Laptops hav drivers for XP online. u can easily get them!! :D

Thank you..Windows 7 had a black screen problem early, but it can easily be fixed by a fixshell right? smile.gif

what video card do you have? but that problem has been addressed long time ago with updates from windows and video drivers from AMD and nvidia....

I am having problems with my smps
i have changed it 2 times nd it had gone a several time under warranty but still the problem persist
the prob is it makes a lot of noise including the fan on my mother board nd i have a good cooling system too
another problem my graphic card heats up badly in no time
