what program do you use to make animated *.gifs?

i tried with photoshop but i can only make them and save as *.psd or have a one fram gif

Anyway, in the very beginning I made each frame by hand (in PAINT! ) and then put them in a sequence with 'Movies12'

Since this was tedious work, i usually made stuff no bigger than a regular smilie

Nowadays I have Ulead Gif animator which is a HUGE step forward (Ican now make banners )

I haven't gotten round to trying to understand Imageready 7.0 even tho I do have it.... in due time....

Imageready is really tough to use, but once you know the basic stuff, it's really quite simple, esp if you use photoshop. But for making regular animated gifs, ulead gif animator is quite sufficient.

go for File>save for web when saving. That should do the trick.

there's no save 4 web in image ready

what about Save optimized as? Should be able to save as gif. If you change the settings @ the optimize window, you can save under various formats.
