Besides the conventional ringing tone, we have waiting tone, welcoming song, and background song. cool.gif

Now, the latest variant is Push Ringtone. It is a client that allows YOU to decide how the recipient's phone will ring. punk.gif

For example, knowing that you have just finished watching the Spiderman III, I might want to make your phone ring with a Spiderman theme.

After we've finished talking, you will be given the chance to purchase the song. If you do, I will get a small paycheck. smile.gif

Now, from a user point of view:
1. Would you actually pick up calls if the ringtone is unfamiliar?
2. How many times can you stand calling people without him/her picking up the call?

Let your opinion be heard, tap the reply button now! gathering.gif

This thing Push Ringtone is a crap. I will never use it - sure thing! It makes me nervous that my phone take initiative and ring the way it will. The solution is BARING CALLS FROM UNTRUSTED PERSONS!

I think it's a cool idea!!! wow.gif

I think that the idea is awesome from a provider POV and a young user POV - but knowing my friends I would have all kinds of crazy ringtones playing on my phone so I would never enable it. wink.gif

Yeah, kinda scary. wacko.gif I might just enable the silent function all day, just to avoid it from ringing. tongue.gif

And what would be the purpose of a user set ringtone than, when each caler would choose which ringtone would be ringing... blink.gif ?... For example, I worked 3 hours on my current ringtone, but instead, I would hear other tunes... If this was to be the case, the phone itself wouldn't need ringtones, it would use push ringtones for e-mail, sms and mms messages including calls...

For example, your mother-in-law is inviting you to a dinner, and she calls you with a ringtone "Imperial March"... Would that be a shocker, or what?! wacko.gif

I think it's a bad idea, i have different ringtones for different friends so i know who is calling before i even pick the up.

Also, i work in an office where around 20 people have mobiles, we all know which is our phone thats ringing because of the ringtone, if a differnet one started playing how would i know it's my phone.

Might be fun at first for younger users but it would be annoying after a while.
