hey i'll tell u wat i did.. i went to Phones->Sony Ericsson W810i and then clicked on Sony Ericsson W810i games and software link.

From there i downloaded the games. When I clicked on Save button it showed the file type as WinZip file, but after u download it appears as jar executable file. I am confused now wat to do. if possible tell where to post this to get a solution.

It is a jar file.
Just send it to your phone to install.

Okay ...
I've downloaded a couple of games to my PC
I've renamed them .jar using err0r's zip2jar programme
I copy them across to my phone and ...
POW, nothing ... they're just sat there.

I've read all the relevant forums and FAQs and I'm still stuck.

I'm not sure what's supposed to happed when I transfer the files to my phone? They don't appear under 'games' nor can i actually see them on my phone using my file manager, but I know they've transfer as I can see them when my phone is linked to my PC.

I have a sony w300i and am using a USB cable to connect.

Any help greatly appreciated, I've been chasing all over this forum for the last 2 hours!

how and where did you copy them to?

Did you try sending via Bluetooth or WAP?
Jim_R
Wow, very quick response.

I've tried windows explorer to transfer across to the phone's memory via the USB.

I just save it to the main folder (not one of the sub folders)

Haven't tried WAP (don't know how to) or Bluetooth (can my computer do that?).

I'm going to presume the W300 can only install games via Bluetooth or WAP.

To use Bluetooth, you'll need to get a Bluetooth adaptor (also make sure you're phone has bluetooth also).

But first try the wap option.
