Full Version: Why Are Some Mp3 Previews Speeded Up?

I've noticed before when browsing thru the Ringtones that some tunes are speeded up when you "preview" them. At the time I assumed thats how they were meant to be but more recently when uploading my own ringtones on here, they also play back speeded up, although if you download them they sound fine.

Is there something I should be doing when uploading ringtones to prevent this?

Hi everyone,

I got the same problem. On my pc, the mp3 file is okay but the preview is speeded up ?

If i download it, how would it be ?

I dont know....well I must say, to me everything is normal....ADMINS?

That happens sometimes, if the preview is speeded up the file is usually normal speed, just the preview has messed up.

another question not really related but does the files with 5 figures instead of 6 still work, 'cause yesterday i tried a few of them without success but no problem with the other ( 6 figures)

What do you mean by "5 figures"? Their wap id is 5 figures long? In which case this one works

If you post some links to those you tried i'll check it out for you smile.gif

Yes it is what i meant, 5 figures long. For example, this one i could not downloaded.

My mobile ( Nokia 6060 ) says it can not find the page( 42181 = Indiana Jones ). There was another one with the same problem. And i did not encounter any problem with 6 figures long wap id.

thank you for your help

ps : by the way, as i am really useless, i tried t upload yesterday or before yesterday, 3 mp3 ringtones ( The 4400 ) which were not qualified. Luckily they were refused. Sorry about that...

Ah right, so it doesn't work when you use WAP. Sounds like a bug, thanks for reporting it. I'll inform expert_21 (webmaster) about it thumbsup.gif.

As for the non-qualified ringtone did it fit these criteria:

Well Vinnieza,

i must admit i tried first the upload then read the criteria. So i was well over the limits. I understand, i don't complain.

for the last trial today, i am a tat over the limit of 30 sec.... I will work to try to shorten it....
