if i'm not mistaken, mobile9 no longer accepts adult stuff. so i was wondering......y do we still have an "adult section" in wallpapers, theme,s etc?

this is the only rule i came across regarding afult material. anyways, that(i.e.rules) wasn't what i was talking about really. i mean , i know there's no pornography in any section, but why have an "adult section" at all if adult material is not accepted(that's wat i've read in other forums). maybe u cud label it something else

Mobile 9 no longer accepts adult content. We did in the past thus why there's an adult folder. Removing the adult folder is easier said than done, it'll probably be done in the new version of mobile9 which we're currently working on.

no pornography,no nudity,no explicit sex scenes,etc.
of course-nudity and explicit are case sensitive words,but in general they are not allowed...

They're boarder line, but i would class that as nudity rather than adult (15+ not 18+).

But as said before it's up to the validator to decide. Us Senior Admins also keep a check on things as well

I suppose having adult content did have it's advantages as you could censor those pics as currently a young person may accidentally view them in browsing the gallery.

seriously,even if we had an adult folder,what and who couldve stoped underaged persons to dl those files?noone and nothing.so i think that the best we can do is to stick to our non-pornography pollicy,and leave the upbringing and the education to parents,schools,politicians,etc..granparents..uh my grandad would have liked those wallpapers

Yeah, young people can view it but it stops accidental viewing (son is sitting with you while you look for a new theme for your phone, while browsing through you see that (with censorship you'll just see the censor pic and thus you won't click it so everything is safe)

either we accept adult or we don't. i don't think the arguments mentioned above are even credible.
i know its difficult to go thru the older files and delete them but at least one can keep a watch on what going thru.maybe vince was right about keeping adult and cendsoring them .

Not at all, as I said we are yout trying to discuss this matter, and we have agreed that there will be no more "nudity"( I hate this word after this discussion ), and thease updates will come soon with new version of forum...so you will have to wait a little longer....OK Boxie? No hard feelings!

Sorry to cut this conversation short, but I think the author has made his views known and two admins have responded as well as two gallery mods.

We're getting a bit OT here so I'm going to close this topic.

We're all friends here and the gallery mods use their best judgment when validating files. Of course this is a touchy subject and opinion and personal preference play a big part...
