Me at the moment on ADSL 1500k/256k 25GB with TPG.
Waiting 4 ADSL 2+, to be available in my area and go on 24000k/1000k 30GB and it is cheaper than ADSL.

We should be on 8mb (6mb in this area) for the price we're paying but we have to take out another 12 month contract if we wish to upgrade

. We're suppose to be looking into other providers but haven't got around to it

Currently on 1MB

ADSL1 = up to 8Mbps
ADSL2 = up to 12Mbps
ADSL2+ = up to 24Mbps
ADSL2 works over longer distances!

200MBits anyone?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8036086.stm or 1GBits if you live in Japan

. It really is going towards my brothers prediction (which he said 5+ years ago): There will be no TV broadcasts in the, just internet what you want to watch when you want to watch (in high def too by the sounds of that article)? Just need to get rid of the capping.

OMG!! 1GBps!??

So in 1GBps you can download files in the speed of more than 100MBytes per second

? !

For that speed you need a better hard disk that has transfer speed of 100+ MBytes/s
One of my cousin told me that EA and other game developers are working on a gaming server which will let the users to play games online.
You can buy the game or can try it on internet and there is no need of any
game installation or any powerful hardware requirements.

EA's version of OnLive:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7962180.stm |
http://www.onlive.com/index.html maybe?

Yeah ~100MBytes/s. Not sure if many servers can deliver that speed though but would be useful for simultaneous downloading e.g. multiple users on the same line. Could stream Hi-Def with that.
