It is required, so it can be seen how much you contribute to this site, and number of post can be seen in a way of how much you are helping, and communicating with other members....

I will never get a rank since I only bring posts to the count and nothing else.....I'm rank-doomed for life !! :D

He's pretty much always online. However, he leaves it to use admins to read posts, forward any issues keep the site clean while he works on the new mobile 9 and fixing bugs . So he's always online and needs to be as well with the amount he does

Oh, so he hasn't been uploading his homesite for so long...

His homesite says he was online yesterday for me and this says he was online this morning? I don't trust the last online in the homesite i've seen it wrong quite a few times .

But as ssivic said you don't need to log on to your account on a website for server access. Could even work offline with your own sever e.g. i use wamp
