It seems that all this bad things happens only to me. My theme Christmas Tux was validated this night. It is featured theme as you can see on image. But this theme is not among featured themes on the first page? Why? When theme is among featured it gets much more downloads then when it is not. My other theme made for k750, became featured two days ago because it had more than 10 favorites. In these two days I get almost 2000 downloads. But now I have theme which is featured and nobody knows. Few month ago another theme became featured because of number of favorites. I had to wait three days that that theme came among featured on the first page. And it was there only for few minutes. It wasn't fair
Please, can anybody do something about my new theme?

Is anybody out there , anybody who wants to help ? pls, pls, pls

yeah - maybe the featured more than 4 at one time. Also, someone might have gone on a favourite spree and sent a few older themes into "feature" mode by pushing them over the 10 favourites requirement.

There's no rule. There was two times upload after the upload when my theme was uploaded (oups, confused). In these uploads there wasn't any featured theme. If there was, it would come among featured on the first page, but mine would not. Usually, when one of my themes are featured, with new upload, mine gone. Sometimes after few minutes, esp when they became featured because of more than 11 favorites. But this time, this theme never showed up among featured, and it will never be no matter if it gets more than 11 favorites. Themes which are already in the featured, are there for 5 days, and mine won't be for a single minute. There's a big difference in number of downloads between featured themes showed on first page and all other themes. And I'm very, very disapointed . First you've lost my theme somewhere in twilight zone and now this

having a theme "featured" is an accomplishment on its own. not everyone gets a theme featured.

if you look at the "date uploaded" there are 5 featured themes on 2006-11-23, there is room only for 4 themes on the front page. the gallery randomly selected what theme falls off the first page.

1. being as its christmas time, i can re-feature your xmas tux if you choose to upload it again (i will edit in your download counts, etc.). obviously the older version will be deleted.

Sorry if I sound rough , it definitively was not my intention. I'm so happy every time I see that my theme is featured. I feel it like aproval to my work. At that moment I'm very honored and grateful, and that's why I would like all to see that my theme is featured. Sorry, this means lot to me because I respect m9 very much. People and spirit of m9 (beside my kids) keep my alive last few months.


If I understood you right, if I upload my Christmas Tux again my downloads and favorites remain the same?
Can you do the same with my theme Leather & skin which has been lost somewhere in The Twilight Zone? I would like to upload it again if my downloads and favoritest will remain the same. I think that it's ok, because it mysteriously disapeared without my help.

I think it's right that featured themes should be chosen on merit. Download scores aren't everything. Anyone can put a few semi-naked girls together and get 1000's of hits.

None of my themes have ever been featured but that's just an incentive for me to try harder. If ever I do get a featured theme, I will be well chuffed

I do wonder how some themes get featured, though. There have been some strange choices, such as Borat v1 which has no merit at all in my eyes It has no menu bars, activity tabs or activity screens, to say the least.

Surely a good theme involves some hard work and a little more than some decent background photographs.
