hey, why not make this thread the screensaver thread. if we've got lots of contribution, we'll put up the screensaver folder and i'll make that a priority as well.

tracker 2 does not allow GIF's as screensavers so its a static image!

As trying to resize some gifs just get pixalated

you don't have to..it'll appear with that size on your se p800, at least with mine.

I assumed that a smaller sized gif would be a small sized gif on the phone

yes...if it's 200 * 200, it'll appear with that size...if it's larger than 200 * 320 (p800 screen size), it'll be resized.

Thats what i meant all the screensavers posted here are SMALLER than 208x320
So they will only be small on the phone
Might as well use the full screen hence 208x320 like my 2 screensavers

With all the screensaver contributions that everyone has posted i am finding it increasingly difficult to pick one

GIF's offer good potential alas i cannot use it with tracker!

I also have tracker and the screensavers work fine for me

so you have tracker two and the GIF's work as screen savers? this is most strange.

screensavers work for both tracker 2 and tracker 3...it's handled by the system apps...

yes i get the screensaver on when i lock on tracker two but if its gif file it wont be animated just the first picture is displayed.

now that's weird...i've got a tracker 2, now tracker 3, and in both instances, gif files ARE animated..

Same here my animated gifs have always worked in tracker 2 and 3

When you said in an earlier post that your screensaver didnt come on i thought you were winding me up


The gif is handled by the phone not tracker

we are talking the lock background in tracker? not the phones screensaver function where you can have a gif with but you cant lock the screen? to lock it must be FC mode....CONFUSED!

what do you guys use to encode/create your gif files? are there any freeware editors or only shareware/commercial?

there are tons of freeware editors out there, but I use Ulead Gif Animator...

I reckon the best screen lock for p800 is the one by Riksa, Sclock, what's more? It's free... and very handy if you want to see what is the time and dates as well.

Good spot, thats a handy program. There another freeware one there as well called ntpclient for sycn the time over gprs I noticed.

has anyone tried using animagic gif animator for creating gifs for the P800? i can upload the installer if anyone wants it, just give me a place which can accomodate the space for the setup.exe
