I bought my K610i about a week ago and have been quite happy with it so far. But I found one problem with it yesterday. The "Key Sound" function doesn't work all the time.

I always use silent key sounds but it's just annoying that if I change to click or tone, it doesn't work. The problem is solved when I switch the phone off and then back on. But after a while, the same problem crops up again.

I just changed the phone at the shop today and at first, the key sound problem wasn't there. But now at home, the same problem came back.

Anybody else have the same problem?

I just purchased the SE K610i on my last trip to Hong Kong it is a very good little phone. As for your question I to have found this glitch in the firmware, the sounds will click then they wont, if you turn your phone on and off it usually resets and will cick again. I contacted sony hong kong while I was there and was told they are aware of the issue and will be releasing a update for the phone soon. Because it is a new phone they are waiting and gathing all the info on any problems people are having and will release one big update fixing many if any other glitches people report. So just be patient and check online for update news. Other than the click stopping sometimes I have had no problems so enjoy the phone and check back.

Hi Nic, thanks for the reply. That's what I thought. Probably a software issue but just wanted to confirm with other users.

By the way, unrelated to this post, how what size are you pictures? Mine are only about 250-400kb in size each. My settings are at 2MP, Fine, but 400kb seems very small. My friend's K750i 2MP camera is getting 700kb pictures.

This problem does not occur if you dont use auto keypad lock. Use manual lock.
