Is it with the ericsson client also possible to create themes or is there an onther program to create themes for de K700???

As mentioned above Ericsson Client is for sending files such as addresses, calendar events, melodies, themes, and pictures to your Sony Ericsson phone. It has no theme creation facilities. For themes you should use PhoneAgent, but at the moment it doesn't support K700.

I'm using the Windows Sony Ericsson Theme Creator from the SE site with Virtual PC on my Mac to create K700 themes until Macmedia update PhoneAgent

hi there!!! i am new to this forum thing. but i guess this is quite useful. man it rocks.
can any one tell me if there is a software for using SE k700i as an infrared remote control as is available for nokia phones.
also i got some games (jar files) but they dont run on my phone but others run fine. is it normal??

I'm a newbie here with a k700i, so i have a few questions.
Does anyone have some experiences with a serial connection to the phone?
I'm unable to copy my pictures from the phone to the PC, 'cause everytime i start ericcson's file manager and try to browse the pictures folder, it crashes. and so does my explorer.exe. Well, I can honestly say, I've never seen any app do this to WinXP before. :-)
Any mentions / thoughts /ideas?

What about a T6XX theme maker for linux?

i have some problems with the file manager application. i cant seem to open the file manager cos the link's nowhere to be found. i installed the cd that came with my k700i phone but i cant find the file. the other applications were ok though.

Got 2 K700s recently (one for me one for my wife). I want to be able to download the contacts (phonebook or sim ones) to the PC using a bluetooth connection (which I already have). The software that come withe the Sony and the one that comes withe the usb-bluetooth sync with Outlook but are limited (i want to be able to select diferent contact folders for each mobile, etc). I tried float but its K700 support is limited.

All i want is to get the contacts into a simple program that i can edit and download back.

Any ideas?

I'm using the lastest version of float, which enables me to copy contacts from sim aswell. Try copying all sim entries to phone memory and then sync it....

hi im having problems with the software, I have installed everything from the cd that came with the phone, my computer doesnt have blutooth but I have got a usb dongle. I have installed all the drivers for that correctly and can transfer using the software that came with the dongle, but the sony software wont recognise my phone when i click on the "my phone" icon that has appeared is says not connected (i have checked my phone bluetooth is on etc )

any ideas?

synch station is so buggy, its pot luck if you can get it to function.. i have had nothing but problems with it, the registry entries it writes under XP are messy and seem to be the root of the problems, SE NEED to write a Reg cleaner for their software so that when a user updates/reinstalls software such as Synchstation, no traces of previous versions are left behind and a clean installation is performed.

In my case everything worked fine upon first installation from the CD (under bluetooth) i updated synchstation from the SE site.. nothing worked and has'nt done since..

I never had problems with it as far as i know

You can't download Virtual PC, its a commercial piece of software from Microsoft.

However, there are now 2 theme creators for K700 on Apple Mac:

How do I send java games to the phone? I have some .jar files, but on my PC there is no "Games" folder for my phone. Only Pictures, Videos, Themes, Other.

Any tips? I have a USB cable for communication.

With Apple OSX you don't need any other software to sync or to send files with Sony Ericsson phones. Just use iSync and the Bluetooth Assistent, thats all you need.

By the way, is there a new version of the PhoneAgent available, to create themes on the Z1010?
