| Ubisoft announce Sam's next stealth-'em-up on PC with screens and artwork Ubisoft have announced that their Montreal studio is currently working on Splinter Cell 3 (working title). While no huge surprise, it's fantastic news as the series has been nothing less than stellar. While the last pic to the right is artwork, the first two shots are actual in-game screenshots and it's looking a million dollars. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow had its nice touches but didn't really offer that much improvement in the eye-candy department over the admittedly lush original. Splinter Cell 3 is the instalment that is clearly going to hike the graphical excellence of the series to a whole new level. In fact, Ubisoft are so confident of their forthcoming game that they say "it will offer the best graphics in this generation of games." Which is no small claim when you consider the likes of Doom 3 and Half-Life 2, but the publisher isn't pulling any punches on this one. To hammer home the point CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, added, "we expect Splinter Cell 3 to be the best-looking game on any platform, period." You play as Sam Fisher once again, of course, and the game is set in 2008. The information war has reached such heights that it's threatening global security and the source appears to be based in North Korea. New game mechanics revealed today include knife techniques (nice), more hand-to-hand combat including the inverted choke (see artwork to the right) and the use of prototype weapon skills. The rag doll physics, particle effects and interaction with the gaming environment are cited as areas that have received particular attention from the developers. The levels have been given a more open design than previously (we started to see this in Pandora Tomorrow to a limited degree) with a wider range of routes and optional secondary objectives. Splinter Cell 3 will also offer a co-op mode in a new multiplayer mode. The first two games were brilliant, and this one sounds and looks like it's gonna blow us away. Splinter Cell 3 is scheduled to be released for PC near the year's end. Other format details will be announced at a later date. A movie of the game in action will feature at E3, so expect a full report very, very soon |

The current best looking game is FarCry.. and even on lower specs, the game looks damn fine.

I hate this Breakdown game for XBOX, I am on the 2nd level and yet I can't seen to know where to go, this Super Enemies keeps on bashing me down, I always end up screaming like a lady and die. I'm looking for a walkthrough and yet what I find is some quick draw cheats -- hoping there would be a superman mode so I could be invincible

Asakura! Modded Xbox can play pirated Xbox games unlike the unmodded you can only play original games. But when it's already modded you can't play on Xbox Live.

this might be off subject, but i need help getting past the begining of level 7 in SC PT,
there is a ladder just to your right, climb down, take a step left, time it, and go down when the laser is looking the other way (you are facing right), drop down again one more time, then climb up to the opening in the vent...
then you are placed on a ledge over a motion sensor, the only way to drop down is right on top of a mine, ive tried all sorts of stuff, going different ways, droping with different buttons, trying to shoot stuff, activating the motion sensor which calls in the guard... nothing works ... PLEASE HELP
