Hi people !!! i was read a few usefull things about theme making and i hope that Evrae can help. I am a beginer with photoshop.. i was trying to make numbers in ather coluors for digital time and battery signal and i dit that hapens. but how can i put a mask to so that i dont have to do this from theme studio using the mask wand tool if it is easy to explane please help . sorry about my english but i learn it by my self... so if you reed this message dont kill your self's and dont be i need any help!!!!

hi...i'm glade to find the guide to make my own themes for my nokia 7610.But i'm stuck.In the first step,how do i add my pic to set as the background section?i have vreat my own themes and i can't find a wat to add my pic.I have set my pic to the BMP file and the right dimension too.It was locate in the MY DOCUMENT folder but seems like i can't copy and past it.Please advise

Hi eveyone out there,i have susscefully making my own theme but there is 1 problem that i'm facing.The problem is that i have set my pis as the background.when i open up the menu,all the folder fronts/wording (in black colour) have been blocked by my wallpaper in the black ground.
Now i wanted to ask is that how do i make the centre part potion which show all the folder into the transparent things (lighter colour ,almost white).i can see some other theme manage to do so but i don't know how to.Please guide.

I'm a new member. I have just downloaded Serie 60 Theme Studio but when I extract file.zip,file:theme studio.exe can't not extract. Now, can you help me???Thanks.

I found something really last time i tinkered with making a theme... you can actually just "copy" and "paste" whatever you've done at adobe on the nokia theme maker makes everything much easier though you would have to kill yourself if you've made a mistake and want to change the whole layout! but still much easier

sorry guys...anybody knows why is it that i keep on getting this error whenever i click the CREATE NEW THEME on the command bar of Series 60 Theme Studio?

i think 'java' not installed properly...
i once got this error....okay while installing the 'theme studio'
when it prompt for java option, there will be two options..

1. Use the java installed previously (something like that)
2. install java (new copy)

first i selected option 1 while installing...
then i re-installed with the option 2. and was working....

may be u can try like that..

I try everything delete and install again the theme studio , install the version 1.1 , version 1.2 and nothing can anyone help me please?

Make sure you also install the jre installer (java),that comes with theme studio.

i install everything ok i don't know how to do more , any suggestion?

Remove your "list highlight" image (by using the default) and then try to create the sis file.

i remove but everything the same i remove all of highlights and nothing

and is there anywhere you can download a set of components for each part, so you can create a theme using loads of already created components. if not it should be done

I am just wondering. I have tried to change the text color as instructed. but the only text that changes is the one above and the ones at the bottom remains black. what seems to be the problem?

Which text exactly are you wanting to change?

I want to change the color of the soft keys text. I want to use white for my theme.

Alright for starters The above text is a different area to modify than the bottom so by changing the colour on the top , will Not change the bottom

Allway's Remember that the area on the theme being worked on in the studio should be highlighted on the screen if it isn't than it will not allow you to modify it.

To do this click down and select lower hl text , if in the right area on the theme , it should be highligted on the studio ok.

Another very important thing to remember is when you click on colour and the colour selecter pops up , the little square marked colourise must be ticked if it isn't click in the box, other wuse no colour will appear on your theme area.

So basically now once the little colourise box is ticked select your colour by dragging the curser over the colour pallet.

Oh another important thing is remember that when you first open the colour selection screen that thecolour is set to default , meaning it is in the ligtest place on the chart and so is the colour hue , so you'll need to drag the curser from 0 - to the highest area depending on how bright your after , otherwise again no colour will appear in the theme ok.

basically every time the studio is closed , you will need to do the above for the colouring to work.
Well that should be it bro, anymore problems , or difficulty understanding my explanation , pm me and i'll guide you through it

Some text will also only allow you change it once per opening of theme studio,so if you change it to a color you dont like,you may have to close and re-open theme studio. (which is a pain).

Please try to read all the topic from the start before asking questions as often the question has already been covered. I have found that the best program for beginners would be the most basic graphic program. Maybe ACDSee or Hypersnap for general cropping and resizing but you will have to find your TEMP folder to switch items (Folder Options, View, Show all) Its easier to shortcut the folder to your desktop.

I've been reading the post here from the start, and I didn't see the problem I'm having...

I already finished a sample theme by editing the ARMI theme, putting my wife's pic on the main and idle background, i didnt edit the other areas, so i already saved a .sis file, when i install it to my nokia 6670, i always get the same error message: "Series60 scalable skin support required"

You are using the wrong version of theme studio.
For 6670 you need to be using version 1.2,the version you are using (v2.0) is for n series phones only.

ive just spend oh about 3 hours working on a theme in 2.0 for a 6680 argh!!! theres no way to import them across?

i have not used the V2.0 but if you can extract your images maybe you can use them with v1.2. that way you have trim down the hours on working on the theme again.

i think the most time consuming thing was chaning the icons from the blue to gra, itll teach me for not reading the instructions fully lol V2.0 dosent have like the power!!! it was sitting at 600,000K!! and i have a failry high end computer 1.2 seems to be a hell of a lot better

Those are the default icons,shown as blue in the preview but color on the phone.

so you mean when i put this on my cellphone its already green? including the application icons?

The preview shows blue icons,but unless you change them with theme studio, they will not be included in the final sis file (to keep the filesize down).
The phone will then use its default color icons.

6600 default icons (for example) are the same as in the preview,but look like this on the phone.

so how do you change the application icons? all i can change here is the icons in the upper left hand corner but not the icons in the grid list
