Have you heard a whistling sound coming from your TV? Seen three kids walking around town leaning backwards in sync? The teens are enjoying their new Starburst Fruit & Creme candy to the tune "The Whistle Song" by PJ Olsson. In the "Brand Spankin'" area of Starburst's site you can download the song and watch "exclusive footage" from the ad that doesn't appear on TV. There is also the "Starburst TV" section with previous *** available for viewing.
wow the song was on the starburst site, but you just want the whole song converted to wav because they have it mp3.

@ slip. no chance in hell. this song still needs to be sequenced. i dont even see paysites that have this. we need to find someone with keyboard skills. i have the word out. hopefully we get some hits.
augustborn99
Mar 27 2004, 09:12 PM
@ opp, can you cut and hook a brotha up with a 30 sec. .wav snip?
oppy
Mar 27 2004, 09:15 PM
not a problem at all, do you want the first 30 seconds of just the plain whistling and no words or do you want some words in it ? i'm pretty sure if you want just whistling than it be less than 30 seconds. its been so long since i made a wav i might have to work out some of my rust, but i do miss it as it was my hobby
augustborn99
Mar 27 2004, 09:17 PM
perhaps the beginning and into the song. maybe amplify a little bit so when we convert....
*btw, what phone are you currently using
-splitting post soon

Mar 27 2004, 09:18 PM
i'm using a p800 still, so you want it to be as a ringtone i take it, with fade in and fade out ?
augustborn99
Mar 27 2004, 09:20 PM
yup. i know this will sound like crap if i convert it. its worth a shot
augustborn99
Mar 27 2004, 09:24 PM
how large will this .wav be?
oppy
Mar 27 2004, 09:26 PM
alright, let me see what i can do with it. i opened up the mp3 and its actually only 10 seconds of whistling time before it cuts into real words. and i think the whistle tone is what we really want here as it sounds really nice. so what i'm trying to do here is loop the whistling without telling its being looped. but i will try and make more than one version maybe one with words and so on incase one is better than another
augustborn99
Mar 27 2004, 09:31 PM
hmm, i wonder if it will be a violation of the copyright laws if you posted your work here since the mp3 is freely available for download in the starburst website.
oppy
Mar 27 2004, 09:43 PM
all this copyright violation is a joke as they have nothing better to do.
but the file is bigger than the allowed kb to be uploaded which is 100k so is there someway i can send you the file ? and i made it with some words in it, i only think it sounds best this way

oppy i just want to say it's so nice to have you back

sorry
Patrick
Mar 28 2004, 12:21 AM
downloaded the song. The whistle part is kinda nice

I think whistling w/o the words would be nicer as a ringtone.

@SlipSk8r: making a midi is much harder than wav. You need to know the notes to be able to compile one.

Well someone could try this:
http://www.pluto.dti.ne.jp/~araki/amazingmidi/??? just go on google and search wav to midi converter (but there's alot of pay ones)

i'm sure we all appologize here on mobile 9 for not being able to make a midi out of this. you have to understand the hard work it takes to make a midi, we can try to make it, but it would sound no where near the song that you like. to be mad its understandable as it was something you wanted, but to be mad at us here at mobile 9 thats just an understatement. you have here at mobile 9 a full fledged team giving you everything they have day in and day out and helping everyone that ask for help. not everything that is asked for could be granted and unfortunately this is something that is totally out of our league for now (not saying we will never be able to do this) but we do appologize atleast i do for your discomfort feeling, but there should be no reason to be mad in general we all try our best for everyone here

@slipsk8r this burns me.... this really does. you put a request in. you have people running around trying to figure out that ringtone; then, looking for it. i ask oppy to convert and cut me a slice of the song. and just because the request is not filled at the snap of your fingers, you get mad? "how bout: thanks for trying?"
*btw, i WAS in the process of trying to make a .MID from oppy's wav clip
