Have you just got paint on your pc? My pc came with paint shop pro (although i think it was a free trial).

If you're not looking at spending any money you could try gimp:http://www.gimp.org/

There are others but i can't think of any other free programs at the moment.

I think most themers use photoshop or paint shop pro but they're not free.

Thanks for the reply, and yes i have only got paint on my computer. I am willing to buy a decent paint program if its gonna help, but i would like to try it first.Sorry for being dumb but where can i get paintshop or photoshop, a trial version maybe??

Before buying a product i'd see what other people have to say. I'd expect that gimp program would be fine (i haven't tried it so i wouldn't know). However, paintshop pro doesn't seem to be too bad in price (the ones under verson 9), but apparently paint shop pro is like a stripped down verson of photoshop with the very basics).

I've tried Photoshop, PaintShopPro and CorelDraw. Photoshop does for me what I want it to do, no questions asked.
