You using photoshop? Just thinking, if we teach you how to do it then you can apply your knowledge for other things as well smile.gif

Are S700 highlights like K700 ones where you have to leave a 3px clear boarder around the whole highlight?

I you want to you can browse my thread and see if any bars match what you want, then I can give you the basic shape of it or you can use it as it is.

hey people, i've upgraded my software. i've now got paintshop pro 8 but i don't know how to make my bars transparent. any ideas. the software is impossibly hard but i'm getting there. byebye.gif
dr_megabyte
Start by making a new image and choose transparent as background.

That will give you with a checkerboard-looking pic. Which is the default look of transparent pictures.

Just so that you can see the effect,
make a new raster layer and fill it with black.
Then create another raster layer and fill it with some other color.

Now take a look at this pic:

The sliders (marked 100) is the level of transparency for the different layers. Just adjust each layer as you please.

When you're done, save as png. And you should have a transparent or semi-transparent pic.

Hope I made it somewhat understandable.. smile.gif

And here's a layer-tut if you need it:

sorry doc it's still not working even though this said it was psp7 i still tried it and couldn't get it to work eventhough it looked transparent in the application.
dr_megabyte
Then try this:

When you choose to save as png, just before you click the save-button, click options - run optimizer and check the transparency there. If the image looks transparent in the preview-window it will work, just click ok, then save.

I know I had to do this with PSP 7. With PSP 9 you don't. 8 might have the same "illness"..

thanks for the tip doc. i tried this and i could get the background to disappear but not the marbles (it left a white edge around the marbles too), but cause the suns shining right at the monitor right now i can't see the screen properly so i will make a fresh graphic and try it again. clap.gif

thank you soooo much for the help i really appreaciate it.

edit
thanks doc it worked clap.gif now i just have to get the colours right for the rest of the theme and then i'm done.
