At the World Handset Forum in Shanghai, Samsung announced they would expand their use of Macromedia Flash as the user interface (UI) for phones. Earlier this year, the manufacturer launched the SCH-S260 in Korea, it is the company's first phone with a UI built in Flash. Flash UIs allow companies to build more graphically rich menus, the look and feel of which can be totally changed just by downloading a new file. Samsung said they will now build GSM phones with the Flash UI for markets outside of Korea.

They will have to start introducing the user theme option to the phones first tho. haha.gif

Knowing Samsung, this will just be a way to get the branded firmware sets looking pretty. tongue.gif

they'll need to change their UI system so people actually knoe where things are and how to use them, make it flashy, but also functional.

good news on the technology moving forward part.
