would somebody be able to help me i need a really funky highlight bar for my new theme and when i've finished i would like to publish it.

i don't want to steal somebody else's highlight bars as i don't feel that's very fair. i've seen some cool round edged ones. it would be nice to finish it so i can get rid of my htf theme i've only made it on saturday but i'm fed up with it already.

P.s. seeing as i only learned how to my signature and avatar on sunday in a 10 minute session i was proud of what i'd done, but i may start co-ordinating the sig and avatar with my phone theme hahaha. i know very girlie.

If I can recommend anything for you it would be Corel (formerly Jasc) Paint shop pro 9. You can try it for 60 days free. It will cost you $129 to buy it.

Free programs that are worth anything are hard to come by, but one is Gimp and can be found here:
http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

So download away and make some transparant buttons!

yes

You don't need Windows for Gimp. It works with Unix, Mac or Windows.

All versions here: http://www.gimp.org/

Paint shop pro requires Windows.

You should never be scared, to post a prev! You can only learn from the discussions about your theme!

shelleeson
ok how is it looking.if there's anything i can change let me know. unsure.gif
adonisdemon
well it isn't as bad as i thought it would be haha.gif
just kidding wink.gif

i don't see anything wrong with it, there are little improvements that can be undertaken, although honestly these will be filtered through experience.

a few pointers:
-the status for the desktop and other screens, seems out of place, it looks okay on the desktop screen, but a little outof place on the rest.
-blurring or fading the desktop background, could help bring out the icons more, and help for visibility issues.

apart from those two issues, the rest seem fine to me smile.gif

only thing you need to do is make your previews a bit bigger for us to see tongue.gif
