Welcome to the new Monthly Design Challenge – the challenge for those who are truly passionate about design. For information (post #1) & tutorials (post #4) regarding the MDC please read the following link
In short – this is a month long challenge where you will create something new and original, making every pixel yourself using Photoshop & GIMP only.

So here's what we are doing this month ...

Topic: STC Mascot

Description: Make a mascot to represent the Symbian Theme Contest. Please save your finished mascot as a png image on a transparent background. The design should be usable in both big and small dimensions for advertising and sigs. You will be required to provide a detailed Photoshop psd file (or GIMP xcf file) for every entry. You may enter up to 5 different designs.

Restrictions: Here is a quote from AW on what she would like in a STC mascot:
"Not much restriction in the mascot ... but I'd love to have some sort of M9 identification there. It can be the e9, or Cube eyes or something that's unique to us only."

Dimensions: height and width should be anywhere between 300px – 900px
(But you will also post a small 150px view in the entry thread)

Closing Date: 30 October 2011

I'm personally not a fan of the "squashed" head (I like over sized heads for characters) but the overall design is just great (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap.gif)
