I tried to get the nokia converter but there is an error on their site that would let me register, is there any other free converters out there?

yes it does
- if you have trouble importing an mpeg4 clip it could be because you need another directshow filter for playing mpeg4 (xvid, divx, etc.) or it could be because it contains a non readable audiotrack like ac3 audio. What kind of clip are you trying to convert ? a downloaded movie with avi extension ? or an mp4 clip encoded for mobiles ? or ?? can you play the clip you want to convert in windows mediaplaer ? If so check file, properties, advanced for info on video and audio type. |

then you need to install a directshow codec to play it
Your converter also needs this directshow codec to import the clip. download and install http://www.mpegable.com/download/DS/mpegab...coder-Setup.exe |

I followed the directions listed here:
http://www.spawnweb.dk/3gp/6230.htm They play fine on the computer, But after transferring to my 6230, I get an unable to open file error. Also I want to convert .avi divx files straight to .3gp, but cant seem to do that with mpegable live x4, it always makes a 2kb file that crashes if u try to open it. Atm Im stuck with running my divx files thru TMPEGEnc to convert them to .mpg and then thru the Nokia Multimedia convertor 2.0 to convert .mpg to .3gp. Those files play fine on my phone, but would like to get it to a 1 step process instead of having to use 2 programs. Also the quality of mpegable live x4 seems alot better then the Nokia Multimedia convertor 2.0 at the same bit rates and resolutions so would like to get that working if possible. Thanks for any input |
