Questions About Files Being Rejected: Theme Options

This is where you can ask question about why your particular theme is rejected. We provide reason for rejection in your My Account > My Gallery > Rejected Files. However, if the reason is not stated there or if it's not clear to you you can post the file ID of the rejected file here for investigation.

Common reasons for rejection:
1. Contains Garfield, Gorjuss, Happy Tree Friends, Me-to-You
Due to copyright infringement as per requested by the companies who own the relevant copyrights.

2. Adult or pornographic materials
We have users who are below 18 years old. Hence, we will reject anything that exposes the private part(s) of the body. Family filter will be turned on for materials that are close, but not pornographic material.

3. Without proper preview
Preview without theme elements (i.e. clock, date, battery/signal bars etc) will be rejected because we want to give users a better sense of how a theme will look/work on the phone. Theme consists of wallpaper with big copyright watermark or commercial web site link will also be rejected.

4. Consists of poor quality wallpaper
Anything that looks blurry, pixelated or self-portrait will be rejected.

5. Duplicate
Two files or more that's exactly same in preview, theme elements, title and file size will be rejected.

In conclusion, only theme with the following criteria will be accepted:
- Full standby preview
- Clear wallpaper
- Accepted content

You have removed two of my themes today. Namely, "CaramelbyAgi" and "AnnoyingOrangebyAgi". Could you please explain the reason behind this? The files were created by me using TheUnlocker (they are also up on the Unlocker site gallery as having been created by me), and were accepted by mobile9. They were quite popular. They neither have adult content, or any of the problems that you have outlined on the first page.

I had the impression this was a social sharing site where people could post their original material and share it with the community, not be stripped of files they have worked on without any explanation!!

I await your reason.

PS. CaramelbyAgi had file number 2162390, and AnnoyingOrangebyAgi had file number 2159446.

What's doubly upsetting is that I'm passing the time making themes while I'm getting cancer treatment. Next time you want to disrespect random theme posters by deleting their files for no reason, maybe send them a random message to say "haha, you've been punk'd" or something similar.

Hi Agi, we have no meaning of disrespecting anyone by anyway. Every theme poster is as appreciated and special to us. The reason of your themes were deleted is because of poor quality of wallpaper. The wallpaper is kinda blurry to us. It would be better if u can work on it, and re-upload the files again.

These were uploaded wallpapers, so I don't know what you mean, but I have tried to improve them and have uploaded them again so people can again enjoy them. Thanks for the advice.

It is disrespectful to delete someone's work without an explanation. And from reading this thread, I can see it happens a lot, quite often "by mistake". My suggestion to the site is that every time you delete someone's original work, they should at least get a reason. It's quite upsetting, and we shouldn't have to ask in the forum and wait for an explanation, when you could just tell us in the first place so we don't have to spend time being angry. Especially since there are people posting porn in the gallery, and all sorts of other stuff which you guys seem to miss.

Your suggestion is good. We do have inform some themers when we delete their works so that they can do better next time. However, it is very difficult for us to do so to every person. As we are human being, and we do make mistakes sometime. Therefore, suggestion from you guys is very precious to us so that we can do better and better next time. As our gallery is too large for us to go through every porn and other stuff we missed, we depend on you guys to help us to report inappropriate contents and we will take action as soon as possible.
