(IMG:style_emoticons/default/byebye.gif) Hi All!
I really want to know how Good Morning & Good Night are said in your nation or language! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap.gif)
In my case Good Morning >> SHUBH PRABHAAT & Good Night >> SHUBH RAATRI,
SHUBH means GOOD in hindi, PRABHAAT means MORNING & RAATRI means NIGHT!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

In my "adopted" language (I'm from USA living in Kurdistan) Good morning is Bay-ya-nee ba-sh and good night is Shaw shad or eh-war-ya ba-sh... Bayani is morning and bash means good, shaw and ewarya mean night or evening (All you native kurds please feel free to correct my spellings/grammer if I said anything wrong (I'm still learning)) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)

Hello BnG (IMG:style_emoticons/default/byebye.gif)

Well...Apart from "Shubh-Prabhat", the word "Suprabhat" is also used (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I also know this that in German, it is as following :-

Good Morning - Guten Morgen

Good Afternoon - Guten Tag

Good Night - Guten Acht

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I think it is "Su-", I've never heard of "Shubh-" being used as such.

But etymologically it(Shubh-) is correct too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)
