Have been searching the net with no luck but I know that you can buy hand cranked battery chargers, I have seen them advertised. They are the size of a packet of cigarettes, and when attached to your mobile you turn the handle for about 5 minutes to give you enough charge to make a 2 minute call. Been looking for it for ages but have not seen the ad again.

i could just imagine someone with a dead cell phone turning a handle for 5 mins and still turning it while on the call :P

i've got a portable charger thats the size of a small pack of cigarettes and i put four walkman batteries in it and u attach it to the phone, it came with little adaptors for Nokia (Sony)ericsson, siemens and motorola and it so handy when your phone goes dead you just attach it to the phone and it'll charge it and you can use the phone with it pluged to it..
so so handy

that'll be a good idea, a battery which holds AA batteries so if your normal battery runs out you can attach another battery in it and put AA bateries in it! :)

the way i have seen one on ebay one time is that if you buy it for your phone all you have to do is plug a end in your phone and just crank it by hand its good forever nonrechargable. but than again it might be a different emergency charger i seen

bought one in Bahrain for $20 in technical terms they are "pretty crap" ran the mobile right down and after 5 minutes of cranking managed a 5 - 10 second call :angry:
